The Al Jefferson Appreciation Thread!

Post#1 » by Calinks » Thu Jun 24, 2010 12:08 am

It seems that very soon we will be losing a great warrior. Al Jefferson came here after the KG trade and took our breath away with his dazzling low post moves and tenacity on the boards. He started with a lot of ups and left with some downs but he had two great season's here and I know he will be great wherever he plays next season. Let's wish him well and show him some love! :D

Take solace in the fact that at least he will still be in the NBA and we can watch him play probably multiple times season depending on what team he's on.

Prediction: Al is going to make us regret trading him his first game on another team.

Please be to the East. I don't wanna watch him destroy us more than once a year.

Yeah, he is a tough one to let go. Dude does give it 110% and always worked his tail off in the offseason to add something to his game.

I bet when he comes to town, Al and Love will battle..... hard.

I love his offensive game. I honestly love it. His defensive abilities are so bad that this is the only way we can improve.

I already regret it but I know its out of my hands. The FO has made up their minds and if Rambis feels like he can't play the system, what can you do?

I don't even want to think about when he plays us. I know how the dude thinks, he's going to try break someone's chest cavity open in that game. I'm penciling him down for at least 30 points against us.

Current players in the NBA to average 23 and 11 over the course of a season (min. 50 games)

Shaq, Duncan, KG, Jefferson

SO DUMB TO TRADE HIM NOW.

Watch, next season when Al is tearing it up on some team that goes inside and crap the media is REALLY going to bash Kahn to hell. They are going to talk about how we traded an all star and all of that. Wow, I am watching NBA TV right now and they are already hinting at Kahn dropping the ball for trading Al away.

I've always liked what Al can bring to the table but it just really doesn't fit what we're trying to do here in Minnesota. We've got plenty of frontcourt players and will almost assuredly be adding another through the draft not to mention the probable acquisition of Pekovic and the re-signing of Darko. I think it'd be best for all parties if Al was traded. I have no doubt that he will regain his former beasting skills and will make us regret trading him, but still, someone's gotta go...Best of luck in whatever you do Al. Special props for signing a deal with us under what you were worth at the time, you really wanted to turn things around here. Sorry for all the tough times, but it's time we move on.

If Al is gone we better not be pulling that bench Love crap. He will probably walk if he has to play behind Darko and some project rook.
