Based on a 56 million dollar cap.
First Column is salary (with 100% rookie scale cap hold numbers),
2nd number is salary if waived (we no longer have anyone who qualifies)
3rd number is salary once rookies sign (for 120% scale usually), and season starts,
(cap holds for "rights held" 1st rounders go off the books at this point.

We lost 2,275,804 in cap room with our draft day manuevering.
The Webster trade cost us 2,429,000, dropping from 23 to 30 saved us 153,196.

Including draft picks we will have to sign 2 players just to meet minimum roster requirements.
Darko and/ore Pekovic.
Probably a rookie FA,
Or a salary dump for cap space + a future draft pick for the next GM to use.

Be nice to see a rookie FA add like Mikhail Torrence or Brian Zoubek.

Thats if we were to be paying rubio 2.812 mil, which we won't. Does he still count as a hold on our cap? I'm honestly not sure how this works

I believe Rubio counts against the cap during the offseason.

Yep it still counts, but thats probably not a bad thing unless we are a couple million off trying to get a FA. I like the idea of having at least the ability to absorb some salary during the season, especially around the trading deadline.

Those holds disappear in July. They are essentially irrelevant.
