I wasnt crazy about the idea before because Iggy has never really been a great shooter. But with the additions of Johson and Webster, can we afford to add a non-shooting wing like Iggy now in exchange for Jefferson? Despite what Philly has said about keeping him I'm not sure they'll want to pay Iggy all that money while Turner becomes the focal point of the offense.

The other issue is Brand....would Philly want to pay two PFs that much money? Maybe Al to a third team who can provide value to Philly?

Even though Iggy is more SF than SG, I'd do it. I'd also move Love or Jefferson for Randolph. It's clear that Kahn is not a believer in Jefferson and probably not in Love. I don't trust him to get value for either.

I think Iguodola has a good handle and can create his own shot which is something we really need.

not neccessarily. Now that the draft is done, people still have holes to fill and may even be more pressed to find solutions. The whole offseason is not encompassed by the draft.

Not true. With Jefferson's salary, it would have been difficult to use him as a chip in a draft-related trade because the dollars need to match. But if we really intend to go after a FA/RFA (I think it's safe to say no on Gay now), he is the only guy we have with talent and a matching salary.

just out of curiosity.... Can Gay create his own shot or is he yet another person who needs to be set up?

I ask becuase, Wes is a wing and Gay is another wing, could they work together. If he can create his own shot and be a #1 options, then I still see it as a possiblility. Nothing wrong with having two wings at 6'7 and 6'8 and athleticism.

Gay can create his own shot, he has a pretty good handle.

I agree ... I think when GM's sit back now and take a look at things, some trades are going to start making more sense. In a way, we may have to give Kahn credit for not giving away Jefferson during the draft. It's an emotional roller coaster draft night, and if the offers weren't there - then they weren't there. If Kahn makes give-away deal , then everyone would jump his ass for that too. I'm not a big Kahn fan, but sometimes you just cannot make chicken salad out of chicken ****.

We need a playmaker right now. I do not believe we can get fair value for Al so I would keep Al and see if we can work something out. Surround Al with shooters, run the offense and see what happens. I just worry that Flynn has more pressure now.

If we would just play the way we did with McHale we would be much improved with the current roster

Al only gets traded if Rambis and Kahn have a lot of confidence in Pekovic, IMO. It would have been different if they picked Cousins, or thought that Favors was going to end up at #4.

Now it doesn't make as much sense.

I've seen Igoudala play far too much. Terrible basketball IQ, terrible decision making, terrible shot selection, incredibly erratic from the outside, selfish, thinks he is Kobe Bryant. I'd hate, hate, hate him on the Wolves. I'd rather keep Al and have Love come off the bench and just pound teams with our deep front line... in theory. Iggy seems clueless in terms of having an understanding in what it takes to win basketball games. When Iverson left Philly and they gave Iggy that huge contract he completely bought into the hype of himself being a "franchise player". I guess it is easy to tell that I really am not a fan of the guy haha.

Terrible BBIQ? I'd disagree. He's no Steve Nash, but you're selling him very short.

How many times have you watched him play?

Would you like that in days, hours, or games played? I don't keep a tally sheet of how much i watch certain players. I have watched Iggy plenty and have never thought he had terrible BBIQ.

You wouldn't consider terrible shot selection, turnovers, forcing the issue, and trying to be a superstar player when you are not as having a poor bball IQ? I would.

Among SGs last year he was 13th in FG%, 1st in rebounds, and 2nd in assists. Granted, his TOs are somwhat high, but I assume part of that is due to him handling the ball often. He had fewer TOs than Kobe, Wade, and Ellis.

Why do you worry Flynn has more pressure now?

I was thinking will all of these shooters he should have a ton of assists off of drive and kicks.
