Clipper fan here.
As you may have heard, Casey is a candidate for the head coaching job of the Clips. Just wondering what type of coach was he in Minny? What offense does he run? Defense? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I always thought he never really got a fair shake here in Minnesota. His specialty is defense. He had Rashad Mccants playing good defense if that's any indicator. If I remember right a lot of people were questioning his rotations but I don't remember much about his offense. Hope that helps a bit.

He's a good coach. I think he got a raw deal in MN.

I'm a fan. I thought it was inane to fire a coach midway through a season where he had One good player, a bunch of me-first whiners, and scrubs, yet somehow had them as an 8 seed.
His Defense, and his ability to work with young players are his forte. I remember hearing that he was basically the guy to turned Gary Payton into the player he became. Good one on one guy, good at developing youth, good basic theories of the game.
His rotations were suspect, but I don't see how he could mess up the Clippers current rotation.
Davis/Bledsoe
Gordan/Warren
Aminu
Griffin
Kaman/Jordan
Plus enough $ to pick up solid role players, or a stud. I will say this though, the FO big criticism of Casey was his inability to deal with and relate to personalities of the more "outspoken" players, so I could see him and Davis having problems.

He wanted to keep Brandon Roy over Foye if that's an indicator as well.

Sounds good. What did he not do well, if you don't mind me asking?

I liked him as well. I'm not sure that he did anything wrong at all, I was surprised they got rid of him. Seemed liked a good coach to me. Perhaps he's bad at office politics?

hes a good coach. a players coach.
he was fired here midseason after leading the wolves to .500
to be honest, i would feel comfortable with him as a coach. he got screwed over when he was here. he really didn't deserve to get fired, especially with the team he had.
he would be a solid hire IMO.
