Any chance that we sign him back? I wouldn't be against it even though he really can't offer much that anyone else on our team can. I'm assuming he'll go back to Boston or someone else contending.

I highly doubt it. We have Johnson, Webster, Brewer, and Hayward now. Not to mention Kahn targeting Rudy Gay. Not any playing time left for him.

Gomes is better served as a SF, Beasley is better severed as a PF. He'd just muddy up the Love/Jefferson problem even more as another frontcour player who plays questionable defense and is kind of undersized.
P.S. Supercoolbeanz is crazy, Gomes is not. That is all.

At least Portland wasn't able to deal him either.

Does this mean that the hoi polloi have to reevaluate the draft night trade? Much of the anger over the trade stemmed from the idea that Gomes' contact had value, apparently not so much.
What are the final financials? Webster instead of #16 contact and the buyout in both monetary terms as well as how much of the buyout goes against the cap?

Couldn't agree more...fortunately I don't think other teams will be in a rush to sign him when free agency begins either. Hopefully we can make our big moves in a time-friendly manner so that we can finish off our roster with guys like Gomes instead of guys like Patrick O'Bryant.

I would say the vet min of another 1M should do it for him.
from what i have seen with last year signings, a 3M deal is the top this guy should get.
With all that beeing said, for Gomes, TA, ... and other similar FA, DA should contact them/their agents and show interest and start talking money for the next week or so then make all the moves.
There are a lot of ifs this offseason and DA has to keep all channels opened.
