As is, we're $5M under the cap, so we could offer Corey Brewer straight up, or something like Ellingotn + Hollins if they were looking to cut some dough.

I would do brewer straight up for him. Heck throw in Hollins as well. I think he can fulfill that athletic sf/pf roll that I think we are missing. Make a deal for Iggy and we are set.

I would definitely be down with getting Marvin Williams. I think he would really flourish in an offense where he could actually get offense run for him. Plus he's a good defender, and can play the 3 and 4.

He's basically a taller version of Martell Webster, only more proven. I'm not sure if that's good or bad for us.

Williams is alright. Like you said he's basically Webster/Brewer who makes a bit more money. I think I'd pass. We're pretty full on role playing wings right now. If we bring in another wing, especially one who will force us to play Johnson at SG where he's slightly out of position, I think it's has to be someone who can be a 20pt go to scorer type.

It would be a tough sell, he was crazy unproductive last year but Atlanta does not use him right.

if we could get him for cheap, very cheap, then I take it. I like him as a 3/4 off the bench or as a big 3. We could give him a chance.

This just wouldn't work. There aren't enough minutes for everyone to be happy.

Also, this is up-tempo. People get tired and do not need as much minutes. (hopefully)

Marvin Williams + Mike Bibby for Al Jefferson + Ryan Hollins (EDIT: or Ellington) works in the trade checker....

I am sure pieces could/would/should be adjusted, but thought I'd throw it out there for people to play with.

Up-tempo means less minutes needed. Also, this would assume all players have 82 games.

I don't think that tempo really matters. Every player is going to want to play as many minutes as possible because more minutes = bigger next contract.

A perfect example is Darko. From what I understand, his biggest issue with the NBA up to this point is his minutes.

up-tempo means you get tired. So you use a bigger bench.

Like I said, more minutes = bigger next contract. I would be willing to bet that their would be more than one guy on that roster who was one step from a heart attack and still demanding more minutes.

If we were to keep Al and simply swap Hollins and Brewer for Marvin I would think we would be able to surprise some people next year.

Williams. We'd be getting rid of Brewer to make room on the wings for Iggy, but we don't move anyone to make room for Williams, and that's not even mentioning that Williams is an average at best player who isn't worth his contract.

As for your minutes, Darko and Love will might want more than 30 minutes per game (though 30 is probably fair for both), Iggy should be getting 35+ (he was getting 40 MPG when Philly was a running team), Wes should be getting 30+ (he's supposedly one of the most NBA ready rookies, there's no reason to bring him along slowly), and Sessions was okay with a small role last year, but he's still young and probably won't be too happy getting 18 MPG forever (though, that's probably the most I'd give him. We should really try trading him for a real backup.)

If we got marvin cheap, meaning not giving up Al, I just thought that we could flip Al into AI, obviously easier said then done.

However, if we did pick up Marvin, and we were able to negotiate a deal for Iggy, would you Not accept it because our some people would miss out on some minutes.

If thats the case then lets just do Al for Beasley and space and call it an offseason.
