In one respect, I feel sorry for both guys, their health/sanity is in jeopardy going to the clippers. But they're getting paid, and they both deserve to be in the league, so good for them.

Foye doesn't make sense for a team with Davis, Gordon, Bledsoe and Warren on the roster but it's good to see him getting a contract.

First the Lakers to LA ... now the LA Clippers are taking the Wolves 1 by 1

Might have to watch a few Clippers games next season.

Clipper fan here. I understand Foye doesn't have any PG skills and Gomes is a 3/4 who doesn't defend well on the perimeter. I just question why the Clippers paid Gomes 4 million over 3 years, I don't see him being any better than Al Thornton was at SF for the Clippers. Possibly a better 3 point shooter?

They're all good bench guys. Solid veterans that stay out of trouble and come to work everyday. With these guys I think yo can expect to get what you pay for, nothing more. They're tweeners so naturally they're going to be inconsistent and their success will largely depend on who they're matched up against that day.

If Gomes can play some backup 4 with the Clippers, Craig Smith may not be back, since he is an UFA. Sofo is playing on the Clipper summer league team and could play some backup PF as well as C if his weight can be held under control.

I love the Clippers now their the Westside Wolves with Foyre,Gomes and Smith.All will be great bench players for the Clips and should help them make a playoff run in the west.

Just to let you folks know, Craig Smith hasn't been resigned yet. I haven't even heard any news of him coming back so far. I hope he does, but I've only read that a fair amount of teams are interested in him.

Ryan Gomes - 3 years @ $4million per from the Clips. Plus another $2.75 million over the next 3 from the Blazers. So - about $15 million for the next 3 years.

Out of the mess that is the TWolves.

The Clips are no picnic in basketball nirvava, but at least the winterts are nice in LA!

Winner = Ryan Gomes.

I still think Foye could work out as a backup combo guard for someone in this league, my thinking is that he just needs to play for a team that has a good defensive core in place and just needs a third guard who can score and run some PG too.

Honestly, I was kinda hoping the Celts would've signed him this summer to backup Rondo and Ray.

I wanted Foye in LA. He's a pretty good triangle PG fit. He's tall enough for some decent court vision, and is just fine nailing the 3....he'd do really well in the right system I'd think.
