To me, the most interesting team to trade with right now for us is NJN, targeting Favors and/or Terrence Williams. There's a few things that make this appealing:

1. NJN wasn't in love with the Favors pick, and talked about taking him to trade for talent later.

2. Prokhorov didn't want to just wait around for NJN to move to Brooklyn - he tried hard to make an impact right away.

3. NJN squealed when they weren't asked if they would match Boozers expensive 5 years, $80 mil deal. Is Jefferson at 3 years for $42 really so different?

It seems to me that MIN and NJN should be able to find a deal that helps both.

I wonder if there is anymore interest from the wolves regarding Favors anymore..... Unless they believe he can play the SF and Johnson can play SG.

Otherwise we'd have a serious logjam, especially if Beasley pans out. Beas still put up 15/6 and he's 21? Something tells me there is a very good chance he can pan out.

Or if they are sold Favors could eventually play C since he measured out about the same as Howard.

Interesting concepts to say the least.

I wonder if something like Love and Pekovic for Favors/Humphries works. We could waive Humphires and have NJ pick him up again if they want.

I'm souring on the DFavors side of the deal. We simply won't have enough minutes for him right away next year. TWilliams I am all for. Watching him in summer league upped my interest from "meh" to "I really want this kid"

I don't see why the Nets trade T-Will? Unless they want Love for him but that wouldn't make sense to me because Favors should be starting at PF (unless everyone views Love as a great backup?) and both guys need all the minutes they can get.

T-Will is nice cause it seems like he is a decent shot creator both for himself and others... a younger Iguodola if you will.

The Nets could easily give Both Love and Favors minutes using a Lopez/Favors/Love rotation. In my view that is a killer young big man trio right there. However, Love for T-Will is certainly interesting but I still think its off value-wise (big for small). Plus it leaves the nets with only Lee and Outlaw as their wings.

I'd send back Ellington, Brewer is too much value.

I would trade Love/Brewer for Favors/Williams pretty quickly. Or make it Jefferson instead of Love and add in Humphries.

I forgot that the nets just signed Morrow as well (GS is not expected to match).

They may need a back up PG. So maybe Love/Sessions for Favors/Humphries. I don't think we can get both Favors and Williams. Sessions could play with Harris as well. Outlaw can play some back up PF.

Looks like NJ is going to sign Scola. Trading Favors only made sense if they were going to build a contending team. With what's out there right now they can't do that, so I don't see this happening unless someone like Chris Paul is going to NJ.

If by some miracle we were able to acquire Favors, I think it would be an ideal situation for him to get his minutes this season coming off the bench as a backup PF/C. I would be prepared to package almost any combination of players to make that scenario happen.

Thats why I think Williams is a more likely target.

What's with the infatuation for T Will? Because of summer league games? I'm that impressed with him honestly. Anyone else notice that ball movement was horrendous while he was in the game. Teammates were just standing around watching him on offense much of the time. In the 5th game the coaches pulled him and look how much better Favors played because of it.

Pekovic > Humphries
and Sessions???

Stepping on DaKidKG's toes a bit here, but it bears repeating. You guys realize Terrence Williams sucks, right? He's athletic, yes. He's a decent distributor from the wing, yes. But his shooting is positively Pavlovian. He's light years away from where he needs to be in order to be a true difference maker. Right now he's a guy whose negatives far outweigh his positives.
