Wow......so at the ABSOLUTE best he might be back for opening day or could miss up to a month. Dang, I was looking forward to Wes and Flynn having some fun together to start the season. Good luck with the surgery and get well soon Jonny!!

Bassy stays! Looks like Kahn might have asked Bassy to be included in the deal after all.

this is such bull ****, trade a pg for 2 other pgs, waive the best one of the three to get out from his own signings, and keep the worst one.

Bassy is better for this team now than he was under the old regime IMO...Won't be asked to do too much, and should do better in an uptempo system.

He's actually a lot like Sessions.

A fastbreak led by Bassy with legit wings might atleast add alittle more entertainment while FLynn is out, no?

Bad news for Jonny. Hip injuries can linger on for a while, I wouldn't be surprised if he was out for the full 4 months.

That doesnt make him a better fit in the system, only a cheaper one.

Nothing personal Krap, but that's about as meaningful as, "Dewey defeats Truman!" IMO. He drove me nuts last time around (Telfair I mean, not Dewey.) I hope he isn't relied on much.

Haha, believe, i'm not actually excited. I just like to be able to use his nickname again.

I believe David Kahn is some kind of mad genius. I believe this because I must. The alternatives are too depressing.

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=951944&p=20996311I thought the poll was interesting.

That poll was made before Sessions even played a game in Wolves jersey. Obviously we were all excited about our new addition. It's clear that Sessions wasn't as good as all of hoped/thought he would be. He's better than Telfair, no doubt, but their games are very similar.

^Meh. I jumped all over DJ Mbenga (may he rest in peace) for suggesting that the key to this team getting better was the Sessions/Flynn/Ridnour smashup. And look what happened to him!
Seriously though, backup point is a ways down the list of priorities for this team. I'm much more interested in seeing:
- if the new front line (Beasley/Love/Darko) can mesh.
- if Beasley can thrive as FT 3, which seems to be the direction they're going.
- who gets the minutes out of the Brewer/Webster/Johnson group (shaping up to be a legit camp battle IMO)
- what happens with the TPE
I would argue all those are more compelling and important issues for the Wolves.
If Ridnour can give them 30 competent minutes to start the season, and Flynn is back at full strength by Christmas, who cares.

I like how someone voted for Telfair even though the thread is several months old.
