Mello will be traded, says the Nuggets. Hard to think the Timberwolves would stay out of this, if Mello would extend.

Melo wouldn't leave Denver to play here. Maybe the trade could be expanded to include Minnesota, but I don't see much of a point.

it's Melo.

We're not on his list. It would last about as long as our pursuit of Rudy Fernandez. Here's a sample:

David Kahn: Would Melo play in Minnesota?

Leon Rose: No

David Kahn: But we have nice facilities now...

Leon Rose: Goodbye David. <click>

Yeah, maybe so.
Kahn & Rambis if given permission would be able to make a good pitch at least.

I'm not sure either, but I'd be lying if I said every animated episode and 3 live action movies of Death Note weren't on my hard drive right now

Nuggets are going to need real value, they dont want to go down in the shadow of Cavs.

Who could put a better package together?

Love & Johnson & Cap deal? Do Nuggets like Beas?
Wouldnt anything the Timberwolves have be available to the Nuggets?

Another risk for Khan.
Timberwolves have to really have a plan that Melo can buy into.
Could Melo be traded again before seasons end if Timberwolves couldnt convince him?

It looks like Nuggets & Melo are tense.

Looking again, Love, Johnson & cap is overpayment.

Supposedly Melo has said he wouldn't mind going to the Knicks. If that's true, he obviously doesn't put winning a ring first. He's not coming here.

he's going to find out like Kobe did that forcing a trade to someplace you want to go, that is also a contender is not easy to do if you want that team to keep a lot of talent.

doesn't matter anyways, we got the new Melo in SCMB now, we don't need 2

Early word around NBA is Nuggets will try to trade Carmelo to 1 of 3 teams: Wolves, Kings, Nets. In other words, careful what you wish for.

I think Denver would want to ship him to a team in the Eastern Conference team, or at least try to send him to a team not in the same division. Maybe Carmelo won't realize we we're last years 15 win team.

That quote says it's the teams Denver's interested in, not the teams Melo is interested in.

Why wouldn't we be in the running, we've more more talent and cap space than many other teams...It's a matter of convincing Melo (nearly impossible I'd think) and if Den really wants to deal him in the division.

Den probably thinks they could get Rubio/Love + Johnson/Brewer + picks. I'm not so sure that's what MN wants to do. I'd think more like Beas + Johnson + picks, but that can be topped if NJ wants too, or if SAC wants to part with their 2 headed monster.

It would be so epic if Melo was dealt to the Wolves. Karmic retribution. If they deal Melo for say, Love and Webster, they become arguably a better team, and give Anthony what he deserves.

Melo's a big expiring too, so the Wolves can offer a max contract to Mike Conley next Summer.

Sam Amico of NBA.com is reporting that the Nuggets are looking at three teams as destinations for All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony -- the Nets, Kings and Timberwolves.

"Early word around NBA is Nuggets will try to trade Carmelo to 1 of 3 teams: Wolves, Kings, Nets. In other words, careful what you wish for," Amico wrote on his Twitter page.

The New York Post reported on Saturday morning that the Nets are a "legit" suitor for Anthony.

An NBA executive was quoted as saying that New Jersey as the right pieces to acquire the forward.
