Koufos to TOR?

“We probably lack a true five (centre),” Colangelo said. “If there was a true five available, it would fill a potential need.”

Earl Barron, David Harrison, Primoz Brezec, Fabricio Oberto and Peter John Ramos would be on a list of possible additions.

Yuck. Why waste money and minutes on these guys with no future?

I'd recommend Kostas Koufos.

1. Young - 21 years old - fits your youth-oriented push
2. Potential - drafted 23rd in 2008, but Sloan was going for play-offs with Boozer/Okur/Millsap
3. True center - 7-footer, 265 lb
4. Cheap - $1.7 mil, and still on rookie deal
5. MIN may be willing to trade (UTA forced him into Jefferson trade for cap savings)

I'd recommend a slice of the TPE and the crappy MIA pick.

Shrug. He is probably a better option for them than any of the other guys listed.

If we could get the MIA pick, I'd do it. But I doubt we could.
I think it's likely we don't excercise our option for 2011-12 on him.
It's always nice to have another Pure 5 on the roster. If Darko or Pek goes down it immediately makes us pretty thin at the 5 spot.
