Watching first Wolves game ever!

Post#1 » by breatnach » Mon Oct 4, 2010 6:46 am

Sorry for creating a new thread for this, but I just felt it was a huge step in my 12-year career as a Wolves fan! Ever since I picked up the Garnett jersey back in '98 (because it looked "cooler" than the rest!) I've followed them. Not always been easy to follow from 7000 km and 7 hours time difference (Germany), but today I travel the "puny" 1200 km to watch them face up against the Lakers in London! Now if I only hadn't broken up with my girlfriend of 3,5 years, maybe I could enjoy this aswell :(

Feel free to lock this up, I just had to get both things off my chest. Emotional week. And where are ones f'in 200 Facebook "Friends" when you ever really need'em?! Sorry for wasting your time.

Unfortunately my bank account said: "no you better stay at home with your ass because you can't afford it to travel to London for that game"

We should petition the Wolves to have exhibition games in Germany and Australia. I might fork over the cash to go to either of those countries to watch the Wolves and party with my e-buddies.

Wait, you live in Germany, but paid to fly to London to see the Wolves? Holy cow, you make me feel like a terrible fan for not driving the 20 minutes to Target Center to see them every night. You are win.

Seriously, I could take a 35 minute bus ride and be at a wolves game for $1.75 but I never do it. For one thing I'm like the only wolves fan out of my friends so no one ever wants to go. Still, I have to see some games this year.

its odd, we've got a few germans, and australians. im pretty sure the combined german / australian numbers outnumber the american fans.

Breatnach, that is awesome. I got to see my first game at age four against the phoenix suns. It was a couple years before KG. We beat the suns.

Maybe they only get Ws when a fan sees them for the first time. That might account for our 15 wins last year. Ouch.

If that's the case I'll come over for finals game 7 vs. the Heat... :D

Now you must make sure there's a new fan on every game til then.
