I don't care about Miami. I'm not in Miami anymore," Beasley said, friendly still. But the smile that was there flattened and his eyes deadened a bit. "My sole focus is on the Minnesota Timberwolves and doing everything I can do to help the team, and make this a better place."

Great for Beasley. I always knew he had the potential to become a really good scorer, and was a big fan of him coming out of college.

I've been semi-watching the Twolves this preseason mostly because of Beasley, and I really like the team. I think the young core is a great opportunity for Beasley to grow and learn.

So far, he still makes some boneheaded moves, but he's a lot better than when I saw him in Miami. He looks a lot more comfortable, and if he just improves his ball-handling and decision-making, I think he could easily be somewhat like a Melo-lite for you guys.
