Why can't Love get minutes?

Post#1 » by Godzilla039 » Sat Oct 30, 2010 10:10 pm

He seems like your best player, so why is he only averaging 25 minutes? Foul trouble? Injury? Hostage situation? smh

Love watching that dude play
Just a must-watch army of possessed ass-kickers laying the smack down night after night after night. People are gonna hate playing the Bulls this year.

He had a bad night against the Kings and was rightly, in my opinion, given less minutes and Tolliver did a good job using them minutes. Last night just goes to show though that he's got back into his game and it's great to see. I expect his average mpg to increase.

it's early ... lots of players think they deserve more and should want to earn more. The cream always rises to the top, and once players get in game shape and some chemistry develops, minutes typically start shifting.

because Rambis and Kahn don't think he's that good. They reportedly didn't think he was a starting caliber NBA player last season, when he averaged 14 and 11 in limited minutes.

He was a nonfactor in the minutes he was given. Don't be fooled by the boxscore.

I'm starting to think Love needs a center to carry the offensive load down low that he can play off of.

Yep, I'm beginning to think that we'd be better off moving him to the 2nd unit and starting Beas at the 4 and Wes at the 3. That way Love can play off of Peks, and we'll always have a good passing big on the floor.

Cause he can't get himself into good enough shape to play more minutes. Most nights he completely gassed after 20 minutes of play.

Yeah I wish the guy would work on his body more. Define yourself a bit son... give your self some more explosiveness/athleticism.

And for godsakes, don't be afraid to develop some post moves. Darko..... enough said.

Maybe like everybody else on the team, he's just not good enough to give consistent high performance in starter minutes. Rambis keeps subbing guys in and out when one guy has got it going and one guy doesn't, at that criteria we'll never have a stable rotation until Rambis comes to the realization that we don't have anybody on the team thats going to give us all star numbers night in night out.

Which is fine, these guys are young. They can still be really good players, but I think we all knew from the start that we didn't have any top-5-at-their-position guys on the team.

I think Love's problems are just a symptom of the team's problems. We are at an early stage of development in team offense. Love has to learn when the offense is breaking down not to force shots and get the ball to someone who can create their own shot like Beas.

Yep. We saw this with Al how he created space and easy lanes to the glass for Love with all the attention he received. He's most effective playing outside as a shooter/passer/crasher while posting up favorable match-ups when available.
