I love this kid. I evaluated him last season and was high on him. I love his play off the ball. I know he is struggling this year but when Rubio comes, watch how much better this guy will get. He reminds me of a guard version of Shawn Marion. Not the same shooting motions thankfully. I think this was a smart move by Kahn. To be honest, I actually like some of Kahn's moves. He's not as bad as his perception is. He still nuts though. But stick with this guy. He will blossom in the future.

Wes has been doing pretty well lately, and he'll improve. No worries here.

I don't really see Wes struggling. His volumetric point numbers are low but he's converting a very high percentage of the shots he takes. He's also playing very smart basketball and shows up when needed. Loving his play thus far.

He's also playing solid defense (and often against the other team's top scorers) as a rookie. Next year with Rubio creating for him, he's going to explode, especially if he works on his handle all summer.

He's playing smart he's also contributing more to the team by rebounding, defense, passing, hustling, etc. vs. chucking up shots and going for the scoring title, which a lot of young high draft pick players have that mentality in the past. He doesn't need to do that. Take smart shots and learn to create. Wes will continue to grow and get better.

Wait until Ricky Rubio is the playmaker here and you'll love Wesley Johnson even more. Once WJ gets the open looks his scoring output will improve dramatically.

I understand the observations that WJ will improve once Ricky comes over but would it be much of a stretch to say that he'll improve when Flynn comes back? Once healthy, I think Flynn will get Wes a ton more open shots. It also doesn't hurt that they have the Syracuse connection.

Good point. I do think that Flynn is going to be pretty rusty in general for a while, but yes, I could see some good chemistry/production as the season goes on.

Now that he seems to have shaken off his early season shooting slump, I agree. Although I also think he needs to go to the rack more. If they can just get him the ball within like 12 feet of the basket, he should be able to make a move without having to do much fancy dribbling.

I assume Wes' shots go up when we get better pg play. He is playing fine.

Yeah, might be the case as well. I can't believe that we'll finally have 4 quality young guys in the starting line-up soon with Flynn, Johnson, Beasley and Love.
