How many 2nds would you give up?

They talked about this numerous times tonight. I believe the highest they went was 4 or 5 in their back and forth. So now I ask you, how many 2nds would you have traded to acquire Michael Beasley?

I know some people who could lose some weight, so I'll take theirs.

the highest that the announcers said was "probably 7" lol.
if i was a gm, honestly, i wouldn't mind giving a first round pick for beasley. this is the guy who went second overall pick in 2008.

I'd give them two because that's all they asked for.

I wanted to make a thread on the trade board asking What pick would you give to acquire Beasley. We were offered #10 for Flynn during the summer, I don't think I'm a homer to believe we could get a pick in the 10-14 range. I wouldn't do that trade, but I just want to know what we could get.

Well, I'll take Beasley over Turner and Turner was #2.

Would you trade Beasley for anyone in the draft last year not named John Wall?

Nope.

Riley kind of made a mistake drafting Beasley, because right after 2008 draft lottery, when Heat found out that they got #2 overall pick, they were going to get OJ Mayo. Their real target was Rose though.

I remember thinking how pathetic that season was. They basically benched anyone decent for scrubs from the D-League and their coach didn't even bother to turn up to games down the stretch, instead preferring to scout Derrick Rose. I was so happy when karma gave them the big middle finger, just like it's doing now.

Would Rose and Wade really have worked better than Wade/Beasley?

I kinda doubt it considering Wade/Rose are kinda ball dominant guards.

I totally agree Wade/Rose would be awful together in the long run, neither seems to have the prerogative to move without the ball for positioning and defense exploitation or even dead-eye shooters that "second bananas" seem to do like Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, Rip Hamilton types. They need the ball to create and need it in high volumes.

I totally thought this would have been Klomped by now just like WormGuts...
