Beasley is the first Timberwolves player since Kevin Garnett in 1999-2000 to score at least 25 points in five straight games.

Didn't Gasol have like 18 and 10 or something last time? He didn't dominate us like he usually does, but I don't know about shut down. I guess he got shut down compared to how he used to tear us a new ass hole all the time.

I'm guessing that Artest and co. will have seen/heard some of the positive press on Beasley and will be raring to shut him down and keep a hand in his face all night. Be interesting to see how B'Easy responds.

Great test for Beas to see if he can stay and play within the system.

I'd like to see Darko have an impact tonight. The last game against the Lakers he missed 3-4 little bunnies ... make those and keep up the defense and that will be big.

My only advice: Don't play with them ... plan to beat'em. This is where a young teams gets tested on their ability to perform a role.

The last time we played them was the game that kicked off this stretch of good play. Rambis clearly had them fired up for the game, and they really responded. I guess that whole locker room visit from Magic Johnson probably didn't hurt either. Anyway, this game will be a big deal for this team.

I guess in a way, it's a no lose, as long as they don't get blown out. Win and it's huge. Lose close and it's still a moral and emotional win. Would be nice to see them win, though..

This could be a huge win for our pups. Would be comparable to the first time Da Kids beat the Jordan Bulls for the first time ever.

I'm just happy I get to watch it on TV tonight! Go Wolves!!!!!!!!

Let's just hope they don't crap the bed tonight. Another 40 point blow out would be a big set back.

ok. This is tough, but we can do this. Play everybody straight up. Keep double teams to a minimum, no wide open kickouts. Wes and Brewer on Kobe and make him beat you with jumpers. Darko on Gasol and hope and pray Darko doesn't get quick fouls. Their team defense is too good in the half court, attack them in transition and attack Gasol inside on drives. Take open shots whenever they're available, probably won't come around again. If Kobe is hitting his crazy contested jumpers, stay w/ the single team, he's too good at finding open shooters and Gasol and Odom in the paint off doubles. I don't think he can continue to beat the length of Brewer and Johnson all night.

And don't sell yourself short with turnovers....If we're going to lose, lose by not hitting open jumpers and because Kobe is in the zone, lets not lose to 25 turnovers and because we kept leaving their overpaid role players wide open all night off double teams making them look good.

Beasley has to handle Artest AND Barnes. That's tough. This is a matchup we could really use Flynn for.

Very excited for this one, I missed the first Lakers game (though I was there at the game in London). I think Wes will be our killer-app tonight on both offense and defense, I'm interested in seeing how he defends Kobe.
