Would you ...
Consider taking on Baron Davis ( 3 yr's @ 13 million) if Eric Gordon was included. The basis would be a consolidation trade - Wolves losing 3 pieces from the (Pek, Flynn, Brewer, Bassy, Luke, Martell, Johnson) pile and some of the 1st round picks. Clips getting tools to rebuild.
Let me know your thoughts.

Let's turn this into a Would You Rather thread.
Would you rather have balls for a chin or an inverted weiner?

Thanks for the feedback - it helps me weigh and judge the validity of your opinion, in this thread and in others.

We lose 3 pieces of the ones you listed? Okay, Bassy, Luke, Brewer for Davis and Gordon.

Flynn/Johnson/Pekovic would be too much in my opinion, although, Eric Gordon would help them a lot and you can always make a reasonable case that getting the best player in a trade is a good trade. As has been mentioned here previously, Gordon is the wrong draft class for them since they would have him, Beasley and Love all up for extensions at the same time.
I take it back. I'd make this trade. Rubio/Gordon/Beasley/Love/Darko with Ridnour/Webster/Tolliver/Lottery Choice off bench. You'd have to do it.

Maybe learn how to appropriately title threads next time.

I don't think the front office would consider taking on Baron without a third team involved to ship him to. You also won't get any good pieces back in a package with baron involved so you would be dissapointed in any realistic offers.

I'm not sure if I would even do that. You don't want Davis poisoning our youth.
When you attach Davis to Gordon, and essentially get nothing out of Davis, it's like trading for a $19M/year Gordon. Gordon isn't worth $19M so that's a negative value package IMO. I'd rather have capspace.

Absolutely. You can be a ball-faced Jack Sparrow and braid it.

Re: Would you ...
True, I would probably do it and just want Davis bought out if possible. Gordon would look pretty awesome here, of course he will be up for a new deal soon too.Krapinsky wrote:moss_is_1 wrote:sofakingbad wrote:Consider taking on Baron Davis ( 3 yr's @ 13 million) if Eric Gordon was included. Agreed you couldn't let Baron Davis anywhere near the team. Just let him sit in LA until he takes a buyout or a new CBA lets you get rid of him. But as Shrink said, if you don't use your cap space this year, it disappears. If I'm spending Glen Taylor's money, I could do a lot worse than Eric Gordon.

Re: Would you ...
If we want cap space there will be ways to get it. For example, we might be able to find a team that would take Ridnour or Pekovic for a TPE. Just like that we're $10M under the cap.

True. But if they're going to use their cap space, they have to use it before Love and Beasley need extensions. If you can get over having all your important players expiring in the same year, Eric Gordon would make a lot of sense for them. Add Rubio, this year's lottery pick and Gordon to their current front court, and that team is filthy. It would cost a lot in cap space and talent, but I think it'd be worth the risk.

Balls chin. I could at least make some money in the porn industry. Oh who am I kidding, I'd do it for free.

Re: Would you ...
I wet my bed last night. Unfortunately my teddy bear Beanie got a little soaked too and my parents had to throw him away. I tried to pick up my soaked teddy bear from the trash and put him in the washing machine, but my dad found out what I did and spanked my bottom with a belt. At least nobody knows about my inverted wiener.

I'd do it. Love Gordon on this team and Diaw's would be a much better fit than Baron.
