Let's go!!

From timberwolves.com
Notable Injuries:
Wolves:
* Darko Milicic (right quad contusion) - GAME TIME DECISION
* Anthony Tolliver (knee) - OUT
* Martell Webster (back surgery) - OUT
* Jonny Flynn (hip) - OUT

Detroit will attempt to snap its seven-game road skid by earning its sixth consecutive win at the Target Center.
Already averaging an NBA-worst 87.5 points on the road, the Pistons' scoring has proved even more meager during their losing streak. Detroit is averaging 81.9 and had its second-worst shooting performance of the season (37.5 percent) during Wednesday night's 93-74 loss at New Orleans.

Losers in eight of nine, the Timberwolves (5-17) are allowing 109.4 points per game and have kept an opponent under the century mark only four times.

Starters:

Luke "What kind of pass was that" Ridnour

Wes "I can't believe this jumpshot's not butter" Johnson

Michael "How many 2nd rounders does it take" Beasley

Kevin "Give me your coats" Love
Image

Nikola "I'm not a Cough drop" Pekovic

Starters for Pistons:

Rodney "Dangerfield" Stuckey

Rip "____" Hamilton
Image

Tayshaun "Corey's got nothin on me" Prince
(No picture because I still think Corey is the thinnest player in the L)

Jason *Leave unfunny remark here* Maxiell

Ben "He's still in the league?" Wallace

Quotes about Kevin Love from the Detroit board:

ComboGuardCity wrote:31 rebounds was against the Knicks I believe. Rodman was also a way better defender. Love is a hustle player...Super Glen Davis

epheisey wrote:The 31 rebound performance was against the Knicks, and Amare was in foul trouble, and his backup Turiaf, was a DNP because of an injury. Even with Amare in the Knicks are a poor rebounding team so what Love did in that game doesn't strike me as very special. He's not bad, but I'd wait another 10-15 games before I'd crown him as the second coming of Dennis Rodman.

So where is Dwight's 30/30 game against the Knicks? Or any dominant rebounder?

Anyway, the lineup could change is Darko plays tonight so the lineups might not be accurate.

I think if Darko is back, we can take it. We need wins at home against other lower-tiered teams.

The sports fashionista in me is mad that I swapped this game with my buddy. Not sure when the next time I'll see the black jerseys at a home game, if at all this season.

Man, I'm really getting sick of all these games that aren't televised. We miss KLove's 30-30 game and most miss the the 34 point route of the Cavs (I was there)... so now what? Maybe Wes goes nuts and gets 35 points while shooting 10-for-10 from 3? Not that it's a huge deal, but it would be cool to see the new unis.

From Kent Youngblood at 4pm:

Meanwhile, center Darko Milicic took part in most of practice, but that contusion is still bothering him. "He was hobbling," Rambis said. "We'll see. He tried to do as much as he could. But you could see he was still being bothered."

Rambis said he didn't know whether guard Martell Webster would see his first regular season action Friday or Saturday. But it will be one of them. Webster has been told he can't play in back-to-back games yet, so it's a matter of choosing which game he'll play in.

I'd say Darko will sit vs Pistons and play vs the Bulls. Webster could suit up today and have tommorrow off.

Brewer should be starting along with Luke, Beas, Love and Wes. Wolves by 12.

I would love to see what Pekovic can do in extended time. Hopefully he can stay out of foul trouble.

Kevin Love will outrebound our whole damn team.

That being said, this is the kind of game our guards should play well in. Individually, there are some real favorable matchups for Detroit in the backcourt.

Too bad about Stringer Bell, but I guess it's best to err on the side of caution.

Great news about Darko! Hopefully he will have one of his big games against former teams/coaches.

Should/MUST be a win. Won't be able to watch this one live despite it being a Saturday morning here. Housemate has dibs on the League Pass today to watch the Spurs game live dammit.

Rather have Webster out for this game if he's not fully cleared to play back to backs, he'd be more valuable in tomorrows game for us i would think.
