will the nets just trying to get rid of williams in that deal to houston do you think the wolves could of landed terrence. adding a wing who can create and jump outta the gym..

A couple factors need to be considered.

1.) Was kahn lazy and did not discuss with houston?
2.) Did Houston give up more value then we would have?
3.) Does Terrence Williams have more value to us our Houston? We have Johnson and other wings.

I'd think 2&3 would both be yes. They have lots of shooters (Martin, Brooks, Battier, Buddinger, Lee) and could use a guy to create some shots for them.

I don't think Williams is worth it. A bad egg, adds to a log jam, doesn't provide anything the team really needs.

i think this team needs a slasher in the worst way, someone who can get into the lane at will and create fouls and havoc, if williams didn't have the personality issues i'd be all over him, but because of that i'd probably decline....williams is a lot like corey maggette imo, and thats the kind of offensive player we need, defense is another story

If he was that good he would have gotten more playing time for the Nets

I don't think it was his talent holding him back. It was his attitude.

He was a rookie averaging 8.4pt 4.5rb 2.9ast in 22min. He is far from a polished player (bad jumpshot) so him getting that amount of minutes as a rookie doesn't seem that strange.

We don't need to pursue every former first round pick. He's got some talent, but he's not necessarily better than the wing talent we already have. I could see going after Mayo or Randolph, but this doesn't seem like an upgrade.

I agree we need a slashing wing, thus the interest in Iggy, but I don't think we should bring in another guy at this point who was considered a head case.

Here's a question. If we were to trade for a wing and had to give up one of Webster or Johnson, who would you rather give up? I've been thoroughly disappointed by Johnson and Webster is only ONE YEAR older. They both can shoot and Johnson is the better athlete and defender but Webster looks like a real basketball player. I'd be torn if we had to pick one to give up in a trade (and yes, I'd rather give up Brewer but I think his trade value is just about zero right now).

Williams isn't a slashing wing, at least he hasn't been in the NBA. He has not gotten to the free throw line at all.

If I had to choose right now I'd pick Webster, just because this team needs veterans more then anything. But I doubt the FO is giving up on either of them this early.

And defense is what the team needs.. We have enough players that can but the ball in the hoop.

He is a slashing wing, he's just poor at drawing contact (and was in college as well), and probably more valuable as a drive and kick/drop guy than he is as a finisher. Or at least he would be if he weren't such a goofball. FTA isn't the only thing a slashing wing provides.

Shagrila, Williams did put up 14/7/6 the last couple of months of the season last year. After a rough start to the beginning of the year, that was the only time he got consistent minutes.

He would have provided something this team lacks at the moment, in theory, but he may be one of those guys who isn't able to get out of his own way.
