Bench Production

Since the return of Flynn and Webster, the Wolves bench production has been significantly better. But how long until the Starting Unit is changed? Losers of 13 of our last 15 games, is now the time to make changes?

Over the last 4 games, Brewer, Flynn and Webster have scored the majority of bench minutes with Ellington and Hayward getting a few, and Telfair getting zero.

Here are the numbers between the bench Trio of Brewer, Flynn and Webster over the last 4:

Rebs - 8 per game
Asts - 7.5 per game
Stls - 2.75 per game
Pts - 32.75 per game

Rambis seems to favor the combo of Webster and Brewer coming in together at the end of the 1st and middle of the 3rd quarters. Fouls and injuries have played a factor to.

Is it to early to put Flynn in as the starting PG? Will Wesley Johnson remain our starting SG, even though hes averaging less than 9 points per game during December? Or will Webster replace Wes sooner rather than later?

Flynn and Webster should both return to the starting lineup. Ridnour should get the leftover PG minutes and Telfair shouldn't be allowed out of his warmups. Wes should get the backup minutes at both SG/SF.

Johnson is the 4th if not 5th option in the starting line up. Webster is the 1st or 2nd option when he is in. If you put Webster in the starting line up he will likely have less shots. Although it would make Johnson more aggressive.

Agreed, assuming Darko is limited for a few games, something like:

PG - Flynn - 30, Ridnour - 18
SG - Webster - 30, Wes - 18
SF - Beasley - 20, Wes - 10, Brewer - 18
PF - Love - 30, Beasley - 18
C - Milicic - 25, Love - 10, Koufos - 13

Until Tolliver and Pek are back and healthy?

I've never understood this type of thinking. They don't do 5 player subs, so Webster steps into the same situation Johnson is in most of the time. The difference between them has been Webster actually doing things within the offence instead of running to the corner and staying there like Johnson.

I think when he's healthy Webster will start. Flynn I'm not sure about, although he should get the nod.

I like Martell and Johnson on the floor together. Great shooting wings. Keep Jonny on the bench for now to run with those wings.
