Looks like Darko could be out nursing his sprained ankle. Pekovic is out. Koufos should get the starting nod.

Chris Kaman is out and Brian Cook is doubtful.

Hopefully we can shut down their outside shooters - Ryan Gomes, Rasual Butler and Al-Farouq Aminu.

Beasley/Love vs Griffin will be interesting

Hopefully Wes, Brewer and Webster can slow down Eric Gordon.

If we outrebound them and hold them under 100, we should win.

Clippers are red hot. Baron Davis connect well with Blake. What Wolves should look out is for foul trouble. Against the Bulls Blake forced all Chicago big men to foul out.

I'm getting the familiar feeling that we'll lose this one.

This.

Especially if Darko's out. We've got practically no-one to guard Griffin, he's gonna' tear us a new a-hole again. Baron Davis is coming back to form too so no doubt he'll have a huge game on Ridnour/Flynn. Our only hope is that Griffin gets in foul trouble and that Love/Beas have huge games. Webster's gonna' be big off the bench too, I can feel it.

Griffin has to guard KLuv, too. Neither are known for their defense so they might just cancel each other out. Love has been getting pretty good at drawing fouls so hopefully he can get a couple early ones on Blake. Love and Bealsey both need to step up tonight.

I don't like the odds of Love/Koufus stopping Griffin/Jordan. I would feel a lot better about this game if Darko plays. I'd say we get a win if Darko plays substantial minutes and a loss if otherwise.

I'm more worried about getting torched by their guards as I am about Deandre Jordan hurting us.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

+1. When did Jordan become the franchise-killing X factor? Gordon on the other hand...

This is going to be as exciting as a WNBA game.

Time for the wolves to heat up and win 5 of the next 6. We need this one to get the confidence going for the somewhat soft part of our schedule coming up.

The Wolves have been close against good teams; the Clippers have been beating good teams. It is just possible that the Wolves will be hungrier for this win than the Clips.

That said, they are a better team with more cohesion right now. I doubt we win this, but look forward to watching it tomorrow after work. :D

Blake is going to go nuts on Love, but Beasley should dominate Gomes.

Agreed. Although I don't see us winning the next 5 of 6 but I think this can be a huge confidence booster for our team starting tonight and continuing into the month of January. There is definitely some winnable games and hopefully we can get over that hump where we can finish games in the 4th.

Kind of a dumb example but the way I see the Wolves right now is like playing a video game where your stuck on a level that you can't seem to beat. But once you finally beat the level you realize that it wasn't all that bad, and if you went back to play that level again you could beat it first or second try now that you played it so many times you know how to get through it. (I hope )

I'd just like to win. Right now we have a better roster, but we are still losing in groves. I am getting sick and tired of watching us lose and "looking for another 'good' draft pick" is getting VERY old.

I think its a perfect example. They were so close against top teams. Details did not provide glorious victories. They deserve some wins.

Last time they gave a really hard time to the Clippers.

Darko's ankle is still sore, but says "I will try" playing tonite at Clippers. Didnt sound confident, though. #Timberwolves

I'll gamble and set the clock earlier tomorrow to hop onto 3rd quarter.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
