MN/Washington buh-bye Brewer

Since per wiretap washington is looking for a PG to help backup Wall and give depth while he's injured:

Min Trades:
Corey Brewer
Sebastian Telfair

Was Trades:
Josh Howard
Yi Jianlian

GIves the wolves a backup PF and Wiz a backup PG and backup SG. Personally I would even try to throw in lazar hayward to get rid of his 2011 guaranteed contract (If Ricky comes over we will have 13 guaranteed contracts plus 2 first round picks next summer).

Didn't they just sign Howard to a new multi-year contract? If yes, no dice for me.

Your only wing defender has played a grand total of 1 game so far. All the players in this deal blow. This trade mostly just helps balance rosters and fill needs (and keeps rambis from playing brewer).

I'm a Knicks fan, and that deal blows for the T'Wolves. If the Wiz were able to pull off a Deal like that, then they would take it and run to the bank.

No way the Wolves make a trade like that, taking on Salary, and adding more Wing Players (they already have a plethora of them), and the better young talent.

J-Ho is not the same Player he was in Dallas anymore, and Brewer plays better than him, is younger, and Telfair's Contract and play carries more value than Yi.

I'd like to keep Howard as far away from Beasley as possible.

Yi playing over Brewer probably makes us worse.

No likey.

I'd rather trade Brewer for Franciso Elson from the Jazz. With Okur coming back, Elson won't see many minutes there. He's a very good defender at the 4 and can back up at C and give us some D and few blocks. Not much offensive game, but we don't need it. The Jazz could use some better defensive play at the wing after losing Mathews to Portland. We could probably get him cheaper though.

They just signed Hudson, so they don't need a point guard anymore. Still, I hate the trade.

Wiz would rob us if that trade goes through. Yi is injured right now, too.

How about we try and grab Javale McGee.

Min - Telfair, Brewer
Wiz - McGee and filler

this way, we get Kahn's athletic 4/5

unfortunately, they'd find themselves at the bank with Brewer and Telfair.

Since when is subtracting Telfair and Brewer from a team not a net positive?
I forgot, most people like Brewer more than I do.

Howard can be cut. I forgot Yi was still injured. If he's healthy he's not a bad stopgap PF.
Not the defender we want, but he's 7' and it would keep us from playing SG's and SF's at the 4 when Darko is out of the game.
The only thing I don't really like is giving up a little bit of cap space.
So if they'll take Hayward too that balances out and I'd still do it.

Basically just swapping two draft busts (#6 Yi and #7 Brewer) and filler.
Is 10 minutes a game of Wayne Ellington instead of Brewer really that big a hit?

Darko/McGee would be a really nice center tandem. I think the Wiz would want a ton for McGee though and a decent center coming back in the deal. Any deal fitting their needs would probably be something we wouldn't necessarily want to give up.

Wall
Young
Lewis
Blatche
McGee

is an interesting lineup with a nice blend of firepower and defense.

We don't benefit at all from this. J-Ho was never really that good anyways, don't need a guy like him around our youth and Yi just sucks. No more helping others.
