Not sure that Paul George stands with the Pacers, but some of the tradeboards I've seen out there including him are not that glamorous ... any chance of a Flynn/George swap? His presence may be redundant to team needs, but I could see him being an upgrade over Brewers with 15 minutes/gm the rest of the season.

Based on his stats, I don't think he is currently an upgrade to Brewer. He's got some upside, but also the same type of player as Johnson and Webster.

Kahn reportedly rejected IND's offer of the #10 pick for Flynn at the time of the draft, and I doubt either have done anything to change his opinion.

If this was going to happen at all, I think you'd have to start trying to find a three-way where a third team took George, and MIN got something that was a better fit.

Yeah I agree ... a 3-way somehow would help.

I would take a shot a George, but if we could package in Ellington and Brewer for a SG upgrade or simply defensive help in any aspect would be worth it short-term.

Flynn makes ole Terrell Brandon look like a defensive beast ... I'm really struggling to see how the Wolves can take steps to become a better defensive team with him up top.

nah, Flynn has more value than that. We have a big need for a solid 2. (OJ mayo) and as a project we already have Wayne Ellington. Flynn is one of our biggest trade assets (if we plan on trading him) lets use him or other assets to get a marquee SG and then my friends...we are in business

I loved Paul George before the draft, and I still think he's going to be good, but we've already got Johnson and Webster at SG (two guys who are arguably more comfortable at SF, like George). I'd only want to make a trade for a SG who is both an upgrade and fills what we really need from that spot; ballhandling, playmaking in particular (Iggy, Monta, or even Mayo).

If Johnson improves his handles I think he can be that type of player. I already think he is the best passer and has the best court vision on our team.

Iggy, Monta, or Mayo dont really do it for me. Iggy isnt a very good shooter, Monta really isnt a two-way player and is too short, and Mayo also isnt a two way player and is a volume scorer.

I think a player like Afflalo would be perfect. Good size, plays great D, is an actual SG and can shoot.

Paul George is like a younger, less polished Wes Johnson without the high B-Ball IQ. His shot has also not translated so far to the NBA 3-point line. That said I really liked him at draft time, but trading Flynn for him doesn't make sense now that we have wes/web/beas to split minutes at the 2/3.

No to George. We need developed talent, we have plenty of projects/young players.
