Heard B-Easy didn't train yesterday and is doubtful tonight. Can't see him playing tonight, probably better off resting him anyway. We owe these bastards one.

Its probably pretty likely Beasley doesn't play tonight or is limited if he does. We've played the Spurs very close this year hopefully we can finish a game out tonight and get a win against them this time so we don't get swept in the season series.

I wonder if Flynn will start any games by the end of the year -- assuming he's still here.

The Wolves small forward only participated in a portion of Monday's practice, citing soreness as an issue for the final matchup of the season against the Spurs on Tuesday.

"I'm feeling good -- better, still a little sore though," Beasley explained.

When asked if he would attempt to return, Beasley replied, "I'm gonna try but as of now, I really don't know."

Yeah, it doesn't make sense for him to get the ankle loose to play and then have to go sit on the bench and have it tighten up or possibly injure it even more. Might as well sit it out and rest for the Wizards game Tuesday or the Orlando game.

It's time for the Wolves to get a win against this team. Every time we faced them, it was a very close knit game. It's time to close out the 4th quarter, with or without Beas. We are long over due for a win and this is the time to win. Let's head out strong and annihilate these Spurs. We are the Wolves!

Five bucks says Manu trolls an on the roll Darko at the end of the game, which will lead to a last-second loss.

Why is the sign "staring"? Shouldn't it be "starring"? And in case you didn't know, we have a new logo........But hey, good work on the game thread.

I won't be here tonight. Going to a high school basketball game.

That might be the best Love-Hewitt picture of all time. Nice find Juiceman.

I'm not sure if I'll be around for the game, either so you kids play nice. No parties and I want the kitchen cleaned up by the time we are back.

My prediction is a 10+ point loss... I'm not trying to be negative but I just don't see tonights game being close

Durant just said Darko is one of best centers in the league. For once, I'm not being sarcastic in a tweet. #Twolves

http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=18439

While the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder have been unable to stay within double digits of the Spurs in their three matchups, the Timberwolves have given them all they can handle. In a contest on November 24th the Wolves had the Spurs down by as many as 21, and also had a 15-point lead against them on December 3rd. On Sunday night they had another hard-fought game in which the Spurs managed to win 94-91, but it was far from easy.

"Minnesota has been tough for us," said Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich. "As far as I'm concerned they're 24 and 6 or something. They play their butts off and they run good stuff. Kurt Rambis has got them disciplined and they're doing a great job. It's going to turn for them. I'm just thrilled that we got away from them again."

"They're a lot better than their record indicates," added Spurs forward Matt Bonner. "They're young, talented, athletic, pretty much all of them can shoot threes. They play really hard on defense. To me, it's only a matter of time before they turn it around based on how they play us at least. They play hard on both sides of the ball. We've had our hands full trying to get our three wins against them this year and it's going to be even harder to get that fourth game. They play us tough, they're better than their record indicates and we're going to have to bring it if we want to try to get that fourth win on Tuesday."

More at the link, but it's nothing interesting.

As far as I'm concerned, for this team, in the situation they're in, against these Spurs, with how the other games have gone against them, I consider this game 7 of the finals. That said, I won't be incredibly disappointed if we lose, as long as we bring the same effort we have against them before. On the other hand, if we win I will be incredibly excited and happy for the Pups, and it may give us some much-needed momentum and confidence. I can't wait for this game.

If Beasley does not play today, I expect Love to do his usual 30 and 20, and Wes to light up and hit 5 threes. I expect Tolliver to play 25+ mins.

Flynn needs to have a good game off the bench along with Webster, and if Darko and Brewer can give us 10 pts each, we can win this. Ridnour needs to play like a PG and look to lead the 1st unit.

Wolves by a close one. Ginobili will miss a three at the end.

Mins:

Ridnour - 25, Flynn - 23
Brewer - 32, Webster - 16
Wes - 34, Webster - 14
Love - 36, Tolliver - 12
Darko - 24, Pek - 12, Tolliver - 12

Well, it seems that, judging from your comment, you have noticed that, besides, perhaps, the exclamation point, the comma is my favorite type of punctuation mark!

You could be right, that, alteast in my own opinion, the only thing better than say, perhaps using this many commas, would be to have a signed autographed copy of your avater, which I believe, is a basketball card featuring our very own head coach, the one and only, Kurt Rambis!

Well I didn't plan to watch this as I went to bed 2 hours ago and have to go to university in 6 hours but (un)fortunately I can't sleep. Timberwolves better win this one or I'll be hung over the whole day.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
