If we trade for Anthony Randolph like is being rumored. I have the best idea for our second unit.

Have them play the Syracuse zone defense!

Wesley
Tolliver
Randolph
Pek

This will give them an identity and make Wesley and Flynn more comfortable to attack on offense. Plus the length with that unit would kill. Thoughts?

I know people say that Zone will never work in the NBA, but in short spurts it'd be awesome and make it harder for teams to game plan against us.

And Pek is already getting called for 3 sec every other time down the court already.

We expected there to be some transition for Pek with the illegal defense, lack of physical defense and the shuffle travel call (yet, Al, and Pau do it constantly). There is a growing period and it should have been expected.

And too often we don't see the entire second unit without a starter. Usually this lineup isn't on the floor for more than a couple of minutes.

Haha I know. I was just making a joke. I actually like Pek a lot and have seen a lot of improvement from him. He even has made some nice strides on the defensive end. I liked how he didn't back down against Dwight. However, I wish he would have given him a Montenegrin beat down with his 6th foul. Dwight could have gotten away with murder out there.

There's a good reason for that. It's bad enough whenever one of Love, Darko or Ridnour are off the floor.

Not to mention that that 2nd unit would suck on offense due to the lack of ball handling and creativity.
Randolph is clearly a PF for me, as is Tolliver. I don't think it has ever worked out playing three bigs together unless one of those has Lamar Odom like handles.
