Announcers said during post game that Kurt was more than a little upset with Wesley's defensive effort recently. Not fighting through picks and getting lost. So he benched him to send a message.
I've been a fan since the beginning and I will be until my end.

no offense but i could say that about 90% of the twolves players - yet they get to play. there is a reason they have that record.

This could be good for him, I hope he gets his head on straight soon.

Apparently, Rambis went with Brewer and Ellington last night as they are better at running through picks and screens to chase Rudy and Matthews down, and obviously last game against the Blazers, Wes Johnson got burned by Matthews in the first half when he hit 7-8 three pointers.

Still, I don't think he deserved a DNP, his confidence must be shot. I think with 40 games left in the season, Rambis is going with the guys that give effort and Wes just hasn't produced a great defensive effort latley.

I was surprised actually that Brewer played just 7 mins in the 1st half yesterday and Ellington got 17. Of the 3 SGs, Brewer is clearly playing better lately and I think has earned himself the starting 2 spot.

Most here don't like that - but his productivity and efficiency lately is improving.

What happens to Wes from here? I think he will now be the 15-20 mpg player once Beasley is 100% healthy, but Ellington is making a good case too.

No effort = no playing time

Unless you're getting showcased for a trade like Flynn.

Unless hes getting showcased for the D-League, Flynn should just stop playing....his numbers are awful over the last 5 game stretch.

In 14 mpg he shooting 19% FG, 11% from Three, along with 5 TOs, 8 asts and 3 ppg.

But Rambis believes in him and hopefully he can turn it around. But I think Ridnour is the starting PG for the remainder of the season.

I think once Beasley is 100% healthy, the mins will look like:

PG - Ridnour 30/Flynn 18
SG - Brewer 28/Wes 20
SF - Beasley 26/Webster 22
PF - Love 36/Beasley 6/Tolliver 6
C - Darko 24/Tolliver 16/Pek 8

Ellington will obv get minutes if there an injury or someone goes ice cold.

It probably had to do something with the Blazers torching him everytime we played them this year and each of the guards taking turns making open 3 after open 3, depending on who Wes was guarding at the time.

Because Rambis put in a new rule in the locker room; you're not allowed to play until you clean up after yourself. And much like the basketball, Wes Johnson can't take a dirty towel to the rack either.

I think it makes sense what Rambis is doing with Flynn and Wes. Both have been pretty bad the past several games, but the only way Flynn is going to get better, improve his confidence and get back into the swing of things is if he plays more. I think Wes's case is different. I think itll be a benefit for him to sit out a game and have his minutes reduced so that he can get his second wind, and just watch the game closely from the bench.

no offense but other than Kobi ((and maybe Gasol) 90% of the Lakers suck too. Derek Fisher? Steve Blake? Luke Walton? Lamer Odom? Ron "Poo Poo" Artest? there is a reason they can't beat the best teams like the Spurs, Heat, Bulls, etc. right now.

Lamar Odom has been really good this year.

lol your a fool. Lamar Odom sucks? Ron Artest suck? Even Steve Blake is playing better than some of the Wolves. Give your post more thought before making absolute claims.

Artest and Blake have sucked it up this year. Oh, and if you call someone a fool, you should at least make sure that that sentence doesnt contain any grammatical errors

CLEAN IT UP!
-Klomp

And by the way, Steve Blake is shooting 37%, Artest is playing like garbage. Odom can't hit free throws to save his life. Luke Walton still sucks. Derek Fisher still sucks. Andrew Bynum can't stay healthy. Do I need to go on?

Thank you and get lost!

Because I for one believe Odom is one of the more important peices on that Lakers team.
