Looks like Jonny is staying with the team. I would have liked to see him go down there and try to build his confidence and timing but I guess getting NBA training and playing with his actual teammates can't be bad. Unfortunately the team is going to struggle as he struggles not like we are going anywhere though so more development it is.

i really would like to see him go down for a few weeks, the guys confidence is in absolute tatters right now and he has 0 rhythm, to put it simple...he has been AWFUL. a few weeks would hopefully help flynn and give us a few weeks to audition bassy to other teams before the deadline. i've been super impressed with telfair the last handfull of times he played.

If we owned the D League team then I'd agree. But his problem seems to be with the system and spending time in the D League with a team that runs a completely different offence won't help him long term.

We are a team that prides itself on its player development. Why would we need to send him down? Like Coach said, "he's getting minutes here, so why do we need to send him down?"

just to maybe have some success regardless of system would help him i think, then again, if he sucked against d leaguers...then he would probably be in a straight jacket

He's in a deep hole right now, but I agree that the D-league is not the best option for him. He's getting minutes, and eventually he will have a spark. Once he has a few of those he will at least gain some confidence so he can take that factor out of his "poor play" equation. Then hopefully he can slowly progress from there. I feel so bad for the guy right now. He's stankin'.

Flynn should not return to the D-League, it would be pretty unconventional to send him back down. If he's ever going to recover its during a Wolves game

I think the team is invested and thy are willing to work with him. It could take all season but they are willing to let him get his butt whooped every night until things turn around. Maybe this is one long audition and based on how he fights back from this will determine what the team does with him next season. I agree with Rambis, firmly believe that whatever he is going through is temporary. It's just a matter of long it will take for him to turn it around.

If they must, develop him on the road. It’s unjust to a paying ticket holder to see this crap game after game after game…

I thought there was a limit as to how many times you can send someone to the D-league.

This. He is obviously struggling mightily right now, but he is also obviously better than what he is showing right now. Is he the next Chris Paul? No, but his ceiling is still way higher than many people are giving him credit for. I swear, it seems like a lot of people WANT him to do terribly, people that call themselves Wolves fans talking about him with the type of hateful language usually reserved for the likes of Rudy Fernandez.
None of us are happy with his play right now, but some of us are still rooting for the guy.
Whether he is in our long term plans or not, it is in our best interest to patiently wait for him to get his groove back, rather than trade him for a box of old toaster parts or let him rot on the bench.

I agree. He isn't costing us games... might as well let him find himself, he has skills.

Of course Flynn is costing the team games. Whenever he's gone in lately the other team goes on a run or takes the lead or something and then when he goes out the team does alright again.

I'm all for giving him a chance here but let's not be naive, the guy is clearly a net negative whenever he's out there right now.

I don't think we'd have one more win playing without Jonny. Poor shot selection, turnovers, exceptionally poor defense at the three point line, and bad refs have done far more damage to our win totals than Jonny.

I would really like to know how jonny does in practice. Whether he looks ok there and then just collapses in games. I am one of his biggest critics, but even I find it hard to believe he is actually this awful all the time. If so...wow.

Well, take the Charlotte game for example. He played alright for maybe 5 minutes and then spent the rest killing any momentum the other guys were building up.

We all know how bad he's been, but I think the point is that we're not competing for anything but our dignity this season, so if we take the time to nurture Flynn's confidence back to health, it's not like that alone is blowing the whole season.

i know ive posted this before but i want to gauge how you guys feel about it after Flynns came back from injury and such.
