Minnesota (10-33)
Pace: 99.7 (1), Off: 102.0 (22), Def: 108.4 (27)
Amazingly, Corey Brewer, who is shooting 37 percent, is just a minus-15 in 1,075 minutes for a team that has been outscored by 255 points this season. The Timberwolves are a bad defensive team overall, but they're positively awful when Brewer isn't on the floor.

It's only +/-. A very overrated statistic but it kinda matches well with my opinion that Corey Brewer is our best player lately not named Kevin Love.

Brewer is more aggressive than I've ever seen him and it's paying off. He's taking charges, defending his opponents mostly well, anticipating a lot of the opponents plays and in the last few games he has become a little more confident on offense and even made some jumpers. Keep it up Brew.

Most of us already know this, but since we are talking about power rankings...
http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings/_/season/2011/week/13

4. LAKERS -

Kobe and Co.'s second-half schedule would appear to be unavoidably tougher, thanks to a league-low 13 games so far against teams at .500 or better.

28. WOLVES -

Remember above where the Lakers, thanks to what Professor Hollinger rates as the league's weakest schedule so far, were dinged for playing just 13 games so far against .500 or better teams? Sota has already played 25.

WE WILL TURN THIS AROUND!!! AROOO!

In addition to your list of Brewer's positives...

In my opinion, Brewer is becoming pretty adept at driving the lane and using his awkward gumby-body to get layups, dunks and shot attempts in the paint, despite his apparent lack of ball handling skills. If he can continue to refine this skill and finish those drives at a little bit higher rate he may start to become an unexpendable piece of the future roster. This could allow him to get to the FT line more and become just a little more efficient and selective with his jumper and perimeter shot.

I could really see Brewer being a key 10-20 mpg piece in the Wolve's rotation if we can get him at a reasonable salary. I hope Brewer and his goat are a long term part of the Timberwolve's future.
