First of all, I'm not hating on Rambis but something needs to happen.
We are losing and I don't see any improvement.
And what is worst about it? Kurt Rambis is just chilling and sitting on his chair like he does not give a damn. Now, I do know he DOES give a damn. He just is acting like Phil Jackson, having the mentality that the players will sort everything out on the field by them selfe.
The problem: Kurt Rambis is no Phil Jackson and even more important: The Wolves are not the Lakers. We don't have high IQ basketballplayers and we don't have that experience.

He needs to stand up, every damn second and scream like e.g. Tom Thibodeau is doing it. He needs to tell guys like Flynn/Love who are absolutly lost on offence/defence what do to and where to move.

But because I don't see Rambis changing his style, he needs to go!

We need a defensive coach to teach the guys how to defend...
It's a shame to watch this team so bad in defense.
Fire Rambis and change the mind of the team, please!

- I'm completely ok with Rambis just chilling in the chair. Practice is where the yelling and the crazy emotions need to be kept. Screaming at players get them frustrated, and screaming at officials just gets TECHs.
- we may not have the players with BBIQ's to play the same style as the Lakers do have NBA quality basketball players. We just do not run a system that fits with our players, we're trying to force them into roles they don't fit. This is as much Kahn as it is Rambis I think
- we just need to change something around where the players can fit in.
Why not try a zone?? we have the people for that, Flynn and Johnson came from it, we can hide Love in it, Darko is the perfect plug in the middle, Beasley Tolly and Brewer are versatile.

YES! something needs to change, we NEED to make adjustments! How much of this is Kahn/Taylor forcing their will on the team? I'm all for firing Rambis, but someone has to play devils advocate here.

Rambis needs to be accountable for the lackluster performances ... the player effort and lack of adjustments on part of the staff are just not consistent.

Fire Rambis and/or make player changes ... If Rambis does not realize his need to adapt, then he should be fired instantly. For the most part, we just aren't very good and Kahn is probably in Jamaica getting a room for an extended visit. Half our roster simply do not play with passion or purpose ... very dissappointing.

Rambis is on par with what you can expect from a team this young. Minny is one of the youngest team and its no surprise the NBA trend holds true that young teams dont win. Get him more vets, stop stockpiling picks and start trading some of your young players for proves stars. Everyone cant be Boston but thats exactly what they did and went from one of the youngest teams ever to a vet team with aging stars and the wins poured in.

All the top teams have more than twice almost three times the experience as the Wolves in game time.

Looking at the upcoming free agents you guys can add some vets that can provide leadership and experience like

Hinrich, Jason Thompson, Brand, Brandon Bass, Billups, Jamison, Gerald Wallace

Those names are not mouth watering but its a start to add some vets, toughness and defense.

None of them are upcoming free agents, unless you mean that they will be some day, in which case I would hope for a better list to pick from.

Not long ago, everyone complained that Whitman was up in players faces too much and that was why we couldn't win.

Rambis came from the Phil Jackson school of coaching. He let's his players play during the game. Like the Lakers version of the triangle, the entire offense is designed to have little coach intervention.

I agree that our defensive scheme seems very bad. The players often look like they are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. 4 guys guarding the edge of the lane with the 5th guy on the ball makes for a lot of open 3's and easy ball movement.

I started a thread a few months ago about getting an assistant coach that has a resume' that includes consistently teaching good defensive techniques and overall team defense like Thibodeau did for the Celtics. I

On offense > It is easy for the opposing team to intercept our passes if you telegraph your pass and/or try the same pass/play 5 times in a row.

The onus falls on Rambis for not having more plays and not installing a better defensive scheme. He has put a zone defense in now - but usually only when the reserves are in.

Not making shots, taking bad shots, throwing a bad pass or completely losing your guy on defense is on the player. I get very po'd when a player laughs or smiles after making a mistake.

He needs to not throw his players under the bus, even if they deserve it. It doesn't help anything.

I agree, there has been no improvement which is worrisome. funny that we traded Al to get better defense and were the worst defensive team in the league.

They're the most inexperienced team in the league...losing was always going to happen.

I've been a littler perturbed that he doesn't get up more too. Then again...look at legendary coaches like Sloan and Jackson.
