The Carmelo Anthony trade saga is finally over.

The Nuggets traded Melo to the New York Knicks tonight, a league source said. Denver gets Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash.

Anthony will go to New York, along with Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.

Anthony was not at the Nuggets' practice as the team resumed workouts following the All-Star break.

It wasn't as bad of a trade as I thought it would be initially (Carmelo practically chose NY), but I wonder if Isiah Thomas hurt the Knicks during these discussions.

Not sure, not even sure who we are giving up or when our deal will become official. I'm guessing we won't get money from NY but we get to keep our Utah pick.

So we trade Brewer for Randolph and Curry? Cool, glad we don't give up the pick then.

This puts us over the roster limit so we have to give up (or cut) more than a pick. right???

From my understanding is Brewer isn't even involved in this deal. Your basically getting AR for holding that fatty.

am I the only person sad we kept all 3 picks we are looking at having this year and gave up the one guard on our team that plays defense for a historically inept forward and a historically fat center?

I'd also like to assume Denver has another deal worked out with NJ to remove their now glut of large guards and forwards lacking POWER? Smith Affalo Forbes Harrington and now add Brewer Gallo Chandler.

please tell me we have a deal in place to send the 2 picks and Curry's contact for like Nash or Iggy or Deron?

Curry will be bought out by the Wolves

His method was goofy and quirky at first, wasting picks on all those PG's but in the end he seems to have gotten it done.

I am hoping that it is a domino trade that leads to another trade. We need to move picks/bigs for a SG really bad.

I think Kahn (through Taylor) is comfortable selling our extra picks, or using them to move down/or trade for future picks.

If this goes though,

Flynn/Ridnour/Telfair
Wes/Ellington
Beasley/Webster
Love/Randolph?/Tolliver
Darko/Pek/Kouf

And we buyout Curry. Am I right?

As am I. I really hope the front office is targeting something around Flynn for a sg, I would say Mayo but idk why they'd want Flynn with Conley there...I guess they could use a backup.

[Carmelo Anthony has been traded to the Knicks, according to a sources that spoke to the Denver Post and New York Daily News.

New York will give up Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Timofey Mozgov, Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry's expiring contract, their own first round pick in 2014, Golden State's second round picks in 2012 and 2013, and $3 million in cash.

Randolph and Curry will go to Minnesota.

Going to the Knicks with Anthony will be Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.

Yup, we get Randolph just for taking Curry. Pretty sweet.

I am not excited about drafting 3 first rounders this year, but I don't think we actually will draft all three. Much more likely is a draft day deal.

In the mean time David Kahn has grabbed another talented young player basically for free. Can I get an "Amen"?
