Will Wes get another shot to start or will Webster or Ellington get the nod at starting SG?
What do you think?

Probably Johnson but I wouldn't rule out Ellington as a darkhorse candidate. Rambis seems to like Webster off the bench and he's not 100% healthy anyway so I say he is out.

Ellington's been doing better lately, which is possibly why our front office felt comfortable making this trade?

Hello! Starting SG will be OJ Mayo!! Lol
I could see all three of the guys (Johnson, Webster, Ellington) starting depending upon matchup. However, I'm sure that they will want to see more of Johnson, as he is viewed as our long-term answer at the SG position. (I disagree)
I know we don't have much to move, and I know that Memphis would be a bit weary about dealing with us regarding Mayo, I would still like to make a run at him. I think Wes will be better suited as a 3 instead of a 2 defensively and the other two guys are career back ups IMO.

By recent play probably Ellington and maybe Webster, but I know they'll look for a reason to start Wes. I'm sure some of it will depend on Beasley.

Can we just get rid of Martell and give the 96 to Wayne, Wes and Beas? Martell has been a massive disappointment.

Martel should be started, featured, and then traded, for that reason.

I'd give it to Ellington purely based on form and Wes' effectiveness off the bench. He's not been great starting and has looked a lot more comfortable in that role off the bench. People will say Wes for 'the sake of development' but what's the point in starting him when he's better off the bench..and playing his natural position.

If Ellington consistently gets more minutes than Wes, I will hop on the fire Rambis bus.

This a trick question? Wes Johnson easily. Ellington should be lucky that Webster is in crap health and that Brewer is gone. During the preseason it looked like Ellington's tunnel of light was closing up and he wasn't going to get any burn. He's been making the most of his opportunity lately and will definitely get his cut. If he fails to stay consistent or step up, well he'll be demoted again.

I'm only interested in getting rid of Webster if it's part of a deal that fixes the SG spot long term. He has been inconsitent this year and that might be due to injuries and it might not. But I want to at least give him some time to know for sure. Despite everything that Brewer did wrong, how erratic he was, and other shortcomings in his game a lot of people wanted to keep giving him time, yet people want to just throw out Webster (who's shown a lot more potential) out after 1/2 a season.
We've seen good and bad from all 3 of Webster, Wes, and Wayne, regardless of who starts in the short term the good thing is we're going to see enough of these guys for all of it to work out.

Never said that, just because he's a starter doesn't mean he'll get more minutes. I'd join you too if so.

If healthy Martell, if not then Wes. Wouldn't surprise me one bit though if it was Ellington.

http://www.startribune.com/sports/wolve ... 7DYaGEP7UrRookie Wes Johnson, fresh off a nice performance in the rookie game over All Star weekend, will move into the starting lineup in place of Brewer. "He worked hard every night," Johnson said of Brewer. "There was not one game where he didn't go out there and give it his all. So I think everybody on the team can learn from him."
Wes it is. The article also goes on to say Flynn is out again (wtf?) and Luke did not travel with the team but may come later.

Wow, if Luke and Jonny don't play we're screwed.
