Frustration

Post#1 » by Klomp » Sat Feb 26, 2011 6:26 am

Sounding as discouraged and defeated as they have all season, the players painted a picture of frustration after this one-sided loss to the Hornets.

Here is Kevin Love: “I’d be lying to you if I said we weren’t,” Love said when asked if the team was discouraged. “I mean, guys are trying to pick each other up. Every day we come in and play hard and work hard, because this is our job and this is what we have to do. But I’m getting a little discouraged. This is kind of turning into last year. I hate to say that.”

That, folks, is bad. Even the players are admitting it now. This Wolves team, which continues to turn the ball over and play stretches of zero defense, feels like last year's Wolves team.

Michael Beasley, who also admitted frustration with his own shooting, described the team as discouraged.

It will be very interesting to see how this team plays down the stretch, whether it plays hard or packs it in. it will say a lot about what the team needs to do during the off-season. The Wolves just lost their seventh straight, matching their longest losing streak of the season. four of those losses have been by more than 10 points.

I just hope it makes them work that much harder. They've played with effort most nights, but I just think it starts and ends with the guy calling the shots.

This is kind of turning into last year.

Glen Taylor should be PISSED!

He say behind the bench and meanmugged Dwane Casey when he wasn't happy with the team performance. This is getting worse, what will he do this time?

WE SUCK!

....sorry. I couldn't help myself. I looked around the league today, and most teams played great. We are the worst team in the league right now, and that's including the small mutiny going on in Detroit.

The sarcastic a-hole in me thinks KLove needs to get a warning for not whining in the whine forum. This is all part of Kahns plan, Love shouldn't be talking about last year because remember, it didn't cound because it was year 0. The Wolves will start playing defense next year once Rube comes over, and everyone starts magically fitting into the offensive scheme. The stupid passes, bonehead rotations, and crappy efforts will go away the farther we get from everyone's respective DOB's. Its Zen and part of DK's plan. Now run out and buy your season tickets and your continental diamonds and stay positive all you Negative Nancys.

It seemed evident to me a while back that they were starting to lose the players with all this losing. Any last glimmer of hope for the season expired at 3:00pm Thursday. that's why a lot of us are frustrated as well as the players.

My last glimmer of hope for this season expired midway through January.

This is an important issue. The Wolves are just playing poorly right now. It is the coaches' responsibility to show them how they were playing when they were playing well, and how they can play even better now. Hopefully if Beas can heat up again and Wes stays hot, and maybe we get some points from AR, the team can get some wins.

This isn't about next year, this is about the guys on the team believing in themselves.

And as for Kevin Love, this is where he calls a meeting, sits his team down, focuses everybody on the task at hand and motivates people. This is his team. He's the one who needs to make the difference. Dear god is he young to ask all of that of him.

I wasn't trying to be negative. I'm aware we will improve, and I believe we will do so....but that's no excuse for the current state of the team. Even if we aren't going to win, we are expected to compete. Double dribbles and 8 second violations are a slap in the face to anyone who enjoys the product. I know the players are getting down on themselves, but something needs to turn around...and nobody has stepped forward yet, which is very disappointing.
