One person noted that there were three other teammates. I'm sure that's true, but I want names.

Gotta love the immaturity of 21, 22 year olds hanging out. Don't think it's a big deal at all, but it shows some of the problems with an all-young squad like we have. I do think it's unfair to peg his behavior in Minnesota as poor as his performance, that's just a ridiculously cheap jab, and really isn't even all that accurate.

But seriously, why do all these guys play the "do you know who I am" card??? SMH

It's not a huge deal, but it's just stupid. Immature.

Another thing that irks me about this is they only mention Beasley. Why? Because he's had problems in the past so it's a better story. Everybody just loves to see people fail.....

Another example of the fine American media at work.

Beasley (and his past) are the only ones specifically referenced because it allows them to drive their own angle into the story. The fact that the other teammates are mentioned only in passing is done purposely. I also like how the article is almost entirely based on what this chick said, all the way down to her receiving free movie tickets. I suppose I shouldn't be too hard on the Fox as they did avoid mentioning a certain someone who is mentioned constantly these days.

In other news I (finally) learned what "smh" means.

I hate it whenever someone pulls that card. Just because you're a famous athlete, movie/music star or whatever profession you're famous for, doesn't mean you should get a different treatment from regulars.

Rules and laws should be obeyed by everyone. Too bad some judges, cops etc. tend to disagree. For example, please lock that stupid Lindsay Lohan up already. Joe Plumber would have spent (much more) time in prison for that. **** your celebrity status. If I was a judge, cop etc. I'd try to sentence/punish them as much as legally possible to set a statement.

I don't think it's unfair that the woman was quoted throughout the article. After all the theater and the police refused to comment on the issue. Personally I wouldn't expect the team to comment either. It's not she accused them of smoking a doobie and performing free breast exams. I'm going to say that Beasley messed up by posting on Twitter.

Not a big deal. :dontknow:

I would prefer if they'd shoot jumpers for an hour like Kobe instead of thinking they are superheroes when they've achieved nothing in the league so far, though.

Stop the presses!

Shrug. Not like it was a significant crime here.

On a related note, I have to ask why the morons that talk and bring crying children into the movies I go to are never thrown out. Maybe there is a double standard.

Yeah, I don't think they have earned the right to play the "do you know who we are?" card yet. It's unfortunate that they feel the need to be rude and cop an attitude like that but they are young and there are definitely worse things they could be doing when out on the town.

I would have replied "Try that line again when you start winning, it might work next time."

Should turn this into a, "Guess the other 3 teammates who were with Beasley" thread.

I'll guess Love wasn't there, because he would've been easily recognized. Darko too, because who would want to hang out with him?

It had to be three younger guys though, so that rules out Ridnour. Tolliver doesn't seem like the type either.

I'd say Flynn had to be one of them. He can't keep his trap shut. No idea who the other two were. I'm going to throw out Wes because of the Cuse connection and probably got egged on by Jonny... and then I guess Wayne. It'd be great if it were Pek though.

Jonny, Wes, and Wayne seem like the likely candidates. Maybe Lazar?

How it should have been handled:

Other Patron: "Shut up, you're ruining the movie."
Beasley: "Don't you know who I am?"
Patron: "No, now shut up."
Beasley: "I'm Michael "Skittles" B-Easy!"
Patron: "Who?"
Beasley: "Tweener forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves!"
Patron: "The Minnesota what?"
Beasley: "The Timberwolves, your team that pays me to play!"
Patron: "You mean Hopkins?"
Beasley: "No, they're a high school team. I mean your PRO TEAM!"
Patron: "We have a professional basketball team?"
Beasley: "FML, SMH, WTF, BBQSauce!"
