I think we'll catch Toronto the way we have been playing lately. Jersey probably not.

The Kings might move up when Evans gets back, and we could overtake the Raps, but other than that I think it will stay pretty much the same. I don't think we'll catch the Nets or the Pistons.

It's highly doubtful the Wiz win more than 2 games the rest of the season, especially since Andray Blatche got injured. Right now Mo Evans is their starting 3 and Jordan Crawford is their "sixth man." They're pretty much assured the second worst record this season.

I think we might be able to catch Toronto but it will be close. We've got a tough stretch coming up next week: Dallas, OKC, Boston, Chicago, Miami, and Memphis. We might be able to squeeze out five more wins this year but that is pushing it methinks. If I were a betting man, I'd bet we stay where we are in the standings. We're just running out of season.

Quick question, why are the lottery odds different on ESPN and RealGM?
Espn:
1. 25%
2. 19.9%
3. 15.6%
4. 11.9%
5. 8.8%
6. 6.3%
RealGM
1. 25%
2. 19.9%
3. 13.8%
4. 13.7%
5. 7.6%
6. 7.5%
I would imagine ESPN's would be right, especially because there is virtually no difference between 3-4 and 5-6 in RealGM's.

Are the ones on RealGM of previous seasons? When two teams tie they flip a coin(or something to decide a tie breaker) and the team who wins it gets the extra .1%. Both are right just under different circumstances.

So if there are no ties, ESPN is right, if there is a tie or two then RealGM would be right with the .1 separation? Thanks!

Pretty sure the ESPN one is correct.

Depressing.
I can tell you what will most likely happen without actually watching the "race." The Wolves get passed in record by one or both of Washington and Sacramento, only to get kneecapped in the lottery and drop to the 4th or 5th pick, missing out on Irving, Barnes, Valunciunas, and Kanter.

The good thing is: We have played more games than everyone else of the bottom teams. There might be the slight chance that Sacramento and Washington pass us. Although I doubt it.

I'm not too interested in lottery results this year. I'll be happy if we end up with Irving (who I think is very overrated though), Barnes, Valanciunas, or Walker. All of those players would help us.

Sacramento won against Golden State. Now they have only 1 win less and 3 games played less.

This could be called the "Timberwolves Lottery PTSD Thread."
That said, yes, we will get N+1 pick where N = the lowest player we most want.
