Wesley Johnson for Evan Turner
Evan Turner is a great ball handler and scorer (not a sharp shooter like WJ), but guys like Holiday and Iguodala have taken primary ball handling duties. Turner really hasn’t been given a whole lot of opportunities playing behind Iguodala, but he played exceptionally well when Iguodala missed a few games.
Wesley Johnson strength has always been shooting. I imagine that those strengths would become best used when combined with a decent playmaker in Holiday, another playmaker in Iguodala, and a legit post player in Elton Brand who could open up a lot of space for Johnson.

Yeah both players would fit better on the other team. With no other players or picks included Philly probably passes tho. Neither has played very well this season so they might as well stick with their choice of Turner.

Re: Wesley Johnson for Evan Turner
hard for me to say w/o seeing who the PG of the future is going to be. I think Turner has more #1 scorer potential, but Wes has more vital starter on a championship team potential
I'd probably make the trade and take the chance since the Wolves are a billion miles from being able to start thinking about the 4th option on a championship team and Wes hasn't been that great overall

I haven't seen much Turner this year but in college he looked like a real leader on the floor. I might make that trade as well.

I'd rather try Beasley for Turner.

Beasley for Turner makes a lot of sense (although we'd surely have to include something more); it would allow Johnson to play the 3, and would help to unclog their backcourt (Holiday, Turner, Igoudala, Lou Williams, Jody Meeks). They could start Iggy at the 2, and when they wanted to go small Beasley could play PF. Would also help alleviate some of our ballhandler/turnover issues; when Flynn is in Turner could handle the ball more (would work like Kahn wanted Rubio/Flynn to work, except we would have less of a defensive liability).

Re: Wesley Johnson for Evan Turner
I have not been too impressed with Turner. Jodie Meeks has outplayed him and deserves his minutes.
I still think Wes is more talented and want to see what he can do with a new coach next season who will run some plays for him.
I don't know that Philly would do this either. Iggy has settled in at SF and they have nice chemistry and decisions to make on re-signing Thad and Meeks, and may want Turner to slide in as starting SG next year.

When picking an option on the poll, I think we should just assume this is the best trade offer available. It's a given that we'd want the better package. I'd rather have a second round pick and Turner, I would rather trade Beasley instead of Johnson, and I'd see if we could somehow receive Kevin Durant, but it messes up the poll when you factor in something like that.

I think we've seen flashes of a really good player in Wes at times this year. It seems like he has trouble getting up for games (notice how he played like a different player vs the Lakers this year).
I think the summer training with Kobe could make him very good, mainly he just needs a way to motivate himself throughout the season.

Re: Wesley Johnson for Evan Turner
I'm not sure Rubio and Turner fit well together if Rubio is our PG of the future. Neither can shoot worth a lick and both need the ball in the hands most of the time to be effective. Turner in particular has shown this year that he really struggles when asked to play off the ball.
I know it's not going to happen, but I'd love a way to get James Harden. He's someone who would fit in well with Rubio and Johnson.

Yeah, now that they've got their frontcourt cemented, there's not much we could give OKC for Harden. Unfortunate, since I've always been a Harden fan.

I'd do it. Both players would really fit well on their teams after the deal. Turner would finally get the opportunity to be the primary ball-handler/distributor while having Beasley there to bail him out if needed. The lack of pressure and other viable options would give him the time and incentive to work out the kinks and develop his game.
I don't know that Philly would and more importantly I don't think they could given Turner's pedigree. A simple "basketball" trade just wouldn't be allowed to transpire.

Assuming that Rubio comes over, no he wouldn't.

Assuming that Rubio would come over next season at the earliest, yes he would.

As for the trade, hmm, I'm not convinced by Turner yet so I'd pass. Though Wes has been inconsistent he has shown flashes these last few months..enough for me to think he could be big for this franchise. Saying that I haven't seen much of Turner so and don't follow college b'ball so my knowledge is limited. If Wes can develop his inside game then he could really become a dominant option for the team but it's his confidence I'm more concerned about.
