Love out for 2 games

Post#1 » by Foye » Wed Mar 23, 2011 10:31 pm

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will not make the team's upcoming two-game road trip because of an injured left groin.

Love missed his second practice in a row on Wednesday and the team says he will stay home to rest. The Wolves play at Dallas on Thursday night and at Oklahoma City on Friday night.

Love was injured last week in a game at Utah. He played through the pain against the Lakers, but it became worse in the second quarter of a loss to the Kings on Sunday.

He is averaging 20.3 points and a league-leading 15.4 rebounds this season.

Anthony Randolph is expected to get the start in Love's place against the Mavericks.

Guess it's time for a big RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANDY now... Might be a great chance to see what he can do in extended minutes. :dontknow:

Btw we have like the toughest schedule ever coming up....
@DAL
@OKC
vs BOS
vs CHI
vs MIA

We'll go 0-5 in those games. :sigh:

Watch us win one game by accident and the whole board will claim we are a better team without Love, how he is just a stat padder and LMA should have made the ASG. You read it here first ;)

Not to spoil your hopes, but I'd be willing to bet that Rambis plays Tolliver 40 minutes and ignores Randolph.

I agree Tolly will likely receiver all starters minutes, but we are coming off a back-to-back... Randy will get his minutes. Becuase you know Pek will be in foul trouble versus Perkins.

it'll be interesting to see how the team, particularly beas, wes and darko, respond with kevin being out and coming off a massive blowout...things could get real ugly in the next 5 games, stoked i'll be able to watch 2 full games.

These next two games will be.... "fun". (Expects numerous blow-outs)

Btw: Randolph is now called Randy now?

You left out a few "A"s in his name, but yes.

You mean like when Beasley was shut down before the all star break and how everyone said he wasn't really needed because we won that first game, and then proceeded to lose the next 4 in impressive fashion?

For a team that is talent starved, we really like to hope the 2 guys that are the most talented aren't needed for some reason.

Yes. The old "attack them with less talent" strategy.

Well, the team is doomed anyway (esp. since Beas is less than 100% and will probably have limited minutes), so we may as well get Randolph out there with the notion that he needs to impact the game as much as possible. If he double-doubles both games KLove might have some competition. :P
