NEW YORK -- Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor told CBSSports.com Friday that he needs more time to evaluate coach Kurt Rambis, but that general manager David Kahn is safe.

"What I’ve kind of asked David and the staff to do is, let’s just take a little bit of time now, back off, and ask everybody to put in some evaluations," Taylor said after the NBA Board of Governors meetings. "Also, look at what are our options going ahead. What could we change? Then, come together and talk about what’s the best solution here. My sense is, it’s just too close to a season in which we didn’t meet the goals that we had set out, so it’s a little frustrating right now. I’d just as soon not make a final decision when you’re in a little bit of a down mood."

Mob mentality. Someone said it happened, so it happened. Probably most people saying the press conference was embarrassing for the franchise didn't even watch it. I watched the whole damn thing and the only thing I have to complain about is the hyperbole Kahn uses when he talks about the future of this team and his evaluation of the offense.

People love grasping at straws when it comes to Kahn. They take the littlest things and act like he bit a kittens head off while painting swastikas with it's blood.

Rambis: Has 20 games to prove he can coach - specifically defense.

Whoa... slow down there. Last year's roster had Al Jefferson on it, who didn't fit with Love of course but is a more accomplished NBA talent than anyone on this roster save Love. This roster has one and a half legitimate NBA starters right now (Love and Beasley), a whole lot of unproven/injured guys... and Darko.

Kahn does have a vested interest in making this a coaching problem, no doubt. But be careful in your evaluation of the Wolves' talent. They had the ceiling of a 30 win team, talentwise. In my opinion that goes on the GM, not the coach.
