The cap space should be spent to actually upgrade a starting spot, particularly C or SG.
And Thabeet sort of replaces Darko's size, while getting even less talented at the center spot. He's not an NBA player.
1) The trade was Iguodala for Wes Johnson, maybe Webster and Pekovic/Milicic. Wes Johnson would no longer be here.
2) Iguodala is an upgrade at SG.
3) Young is an upgrade at SF.
You basically stole the 2 best players from the 76ers, added a center, added Kevin Love, and play a big lineup that matches up well with the Lakers and Celtics.
if u retain Milicic then that's gr8 and if u can take Iguodala and keep Milicic who is ironically one of the best centers available nowadays. Thabeet was a suggestion to get Iguodala.

An alternative to Iguodala would be Monta Ellis & Young
Beasley&Webster for Ellis
(Ridnour/Rubio)/Ellis/Young/Love/Milicic
randolph leading the bench mob

most cost-efficient scenario, Milicic is the vet leader here tho!
Marcus Thornton (the steal of the 09 draft, 6'4 Monta Ellis!)
Thornton/guard/Young/Love/Milicic
