Would you do this trade?? (Milwaukee)
I come in peace and don't mean to offend anybody. I don't know how highly you guys value some of these pieces so forgive my ignorance.
Essentially,
Wolves get:
Andrew Bogut (11 Mil)
Brandon Jennings (2.3 Mil)
Wolves give:
#1 pick
Luke Ridnour (4 Mil)
Darko Milicic (4.3 Mil)
Lazar Haywood (1 Mil)
Nikola Pekovic (4.3 Mil)
Wolves lineup:
Bogut
Love
Beasley
Johnson/Webster
Jennings
Why for the Wolves: Move forward with Bogut, Love, Beasley, Jennings. Bogut instantly shores up the defense, and he and Love make the best rebounding duo in the league.
Why for the Bucks: Kyrie Irving
This might be part of a 3 way with the Magic so if you want anything from them (other than Dwight and Nelson) let me know.

This is about where I'd place the value. Bogut is a very good player, but he has had injury issues, has the contract, and he doesn't draw fans since he's not a superstar. I personally do not value that more than the ticket-selling power of the first pick in the draft.
We'd need to move Jennings to a third team, but I'd do this deal.

Gentlemen, please... let's us be dignified.
Bucksfans - some might argue you're giving up the best two players in this deal. Aaaaand whilst we Woofie fans would like Bogut and Jennings, I don't think it's realistic from your side, honestly.

This must be a trick, he must have forgot to add Maggette + Gooden.

The plan is to rebuild and send Maggette and Gooden to the Magic. Plus Irving would replace Jennings anyway. Find a way to ditch Salmons and maybe we can finally do the necessary rebuild

His method was goofy and quirky at first, wasting picks on all those PG's but in the end he seems to have gotten it done.

Yes, please.
Wolves throw in a complimentary 6' tall Jonny Flynn Bobble-Hands Doll. It has a really nice smile, you're kids will love it.

With the "pay the pick" deal, I could see the TWolves version of "Squad 6" being enormous. Bogut could theoretically buy 8000 upper bowl tickets at $1-4 a piece to have 8000 crazed lunatic Timberwolf fans at every game. Now we just need to find 8000 crazed lunatic Timberwolf fans....
This could be a decent draw though - getting a little excitement in the Target Center.

Bogut? Bah, Taylor must show his money and get Marc Gasol (> Bogut.) . He is FA(R), but if Taylor make a good offer, Grizzlies haven't salary space enough.

I'd prefer that to giving up a #1 pick, but all of our money is locked into 4 and 5 mil contracts for bottom of the rotation players

Re: Would you do this trade?? (Milwaukee)
It might be too good for the Wolves.
Would you swap:
Webster for Hayward and add-in Brockman?
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3p87edk
#1, Memphis' pick, Darko, Webster, Pekovic, Ridnour for Bogut, Jennings, Brockman
Minnesota saves a couple million and can flip Jennings/Flynn to a third team for perhaps a top pick to get Biyombo? Then add in a FA guard, throw money at Afflalo. Or use whatever we get for Jennings to flip for Iggy.
Rubio/?
Johnson/Ellington
Beasley/?
Love/Randolph/Tolliver
Bogut/Biyombo
Irving/Ridnour
Salmons/Webster
Maggette/Delfino
Gooden/Illyasova
Darko/Pekovic

Re: Would you do this trade?? (Milwaukee)
I would think a Bogut trade would come with one of their bad contracts too. Maggette, Gooden, Salmons...take your pick, really.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
