Kahn knows it's all a scam!

Wolves general manager David Kahn said he knew Minnesota was "dead" when it got down to the final three of himself, Utah executive Kevin O'Connor and Nick Gilbert.

"This league has a habit, and I am just going to say habit, of producing some pretty incredible story lines," Kahn said. "Last year it was Abe Pollin's widow and this year it was a 14-year-old boy and the only thing we have in common is we have both been bar mitzvahed. We were done. I told Kevin: 'We're toast.' This is not happening for us and I was right."

SMH. David, is it really that hard to say "No comment"?

Come on. You are only hurting the team by saying this.

Most people on the GB are spending more time agreeing with Kahn than ripping on him. Well, we know Stern will be ripping Kahn in a few hours.

I know it was meant as a joke. But we all f**king know that Stern doesn't have a funny bone in his body.

I can just imagine how Stern would react to this:

"Wolves will be confiscated both their 1st round picks in 2013 draft and their unrestricted 1st round pick in 2014, as well as a 2 million in cash."

Stern can't possibly expect to avoid accusations of fixing the lottery when it's done behind closed doors. I question if Stern would really rig the lottery since the risks far exceed the benefits, but sometimes I feel skeptical. My question for Kahn is assume that Stern has the cajones to rig the lottery. Your plan is to question him? Well, than again it's not like we have lottery luck or even a draft pick for that matter, so I guess I'm ok with it since it will be coming out of his wallet. Hopefully the fine will draw even more attention to this for some much needed amusement.

Well it's settled. 2013 we roll out a ghastly disfigured 35 year old paraplegic 750 pound armless virgin sex-addict with cancer. That should lock us up for 1,2, and 3.

I loved that Kahn said this. I know that it wasn't a smart move for his relationship with Stern, but I like the way he speaks his mind. I don't think he sugarcoats when talking about his players, and he also made that comment about SCB smoking too much weed.

I don't see a comment like this doing us a lot of good, but it can't really hurt us too bad either, can it? It already seems like Kahn isn't that well liked (100 percent hunch on my part, but i've always felt it). But how does it hurt? We weren't going to win the 1st overall anyways... Or maybe in 2013 Stern will give it to us (possibly Kahn's successor at that point) out of spite!

Crafty Kahn. Very Crafty.

It will hurt us because Stern will fine Kahn AND the team.

From DX:

I have the Kahn discussion about the NBA creating a storyline on camera. Will be posting momentarily. I think he was taken out of context. 13 minutes ago

I dont find anything wrong with what he said, I was thinking the same exact thing. He didnt say it was rigged. He said they have a habit or producing incredible story lines..... He could just tell Stern "The NBA : Where amazing happens."
