Question on Iggy and Cousins:

Post#1 » by TexasGopher » Thu May 19, 2011 5:29 pm

I know, new guy......shut up....ha ha ha, but I have a question. We do not need to get any younger, that is obvious. We have no first round pick next year, so we should be in "WIN NOW" mode.

What would it take to get Iggy and Cousins?

Cousins: Offer 2nd round pick and filler?
Iggy: Pick #20 and filler?

I would love to see:

Rubio
Iggy
Wes
Love
Cousins

Both GMs hang up immediately. Terrible offers for them. NBA 2k11 wouldn't even accept them.

Your value is WAY off on both trades.

We would not want Cousins after we trashed his character pre-draft.

With all due respect, that Cousins offer is simply laughable.

Yep....let it be known I suck at trade value

I have been a huge Wolves fan since they were created, never had time to follow the NBA and salary stuff like I do football, so basically...huge wolves fan, dumber than a box of rocks when it comes to the management crap. Still follow the Wolves since I moved to Texas :D

I just hope to see a huge improvement this year knowing we do not have a first round pick next year in what could be a very deep draft.

I'm not sure Cousins is a WIN NOW player anyway.

It might be something more like
Wes Johnson + filler for Iggy
and
#2 + filler for Bogut (or Gasol)

pretty sure he meant the #2 pick, not a second round pick. I wouldn't do that. #4 pick last year, sure, but 43% shooting + non-factor defense + ever-present attitude and conditioning issues looming hasn't made me think higher of him since draft time last year. I found his rookie season disappointing.
The defense I could expect, but the efficiency and the complaining already creeping up isn't cool.

I'd probably trade the #2 pick for Cousins, but I would exhaust all other trade options that bring a more proven talent first. I really dislike this draft class. I'd deal Wes in a package to get Iggy too, but not much more value. He really disappointed in the playoffs.
