Signature Move

Post#1 » by Dan's with the Wolves » Sun May 22, 2011 12:07 pm

Since Kevin Love is the best player on the team but doesn't have the alpha dog #1 type of game. Trading him is the Wolve's best chance to get a true #1. If the Wolves offered a package of Klove and the #2 pick, our best player and our best draft pick, how good of a player could they get in return?

John Wall, Blake Griffin Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant?

These are the best player from each of the last four drafts. I highly doubt any of them would be made available for Klove and the #2 pick.

Well so much for a signature move.

But the question remains if the Wolves tried to consolidate their best player and the #2 pick, just how good of player could they get in return?

PS: The Wolves shouldn't trade Love unless they get someone clearly better in return.

They won't get equal value, so they shouldn't trade him.

You could probably get Bosh from Miami with that. But would the Wolves want that?

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I would certainly hope Love and #2 get more than Chris Bosh.

I would want Chris Paul and Emeka Okafor at least.

Bosh? I'd rather have Love then Bosh, and I'm sure Miami would too...he'd be awesome on their team.

That's fine, and I would definitely rather have the #2 and Love at the contract he's going to get than Bosh with his contract, but he's also probably the best player you could get with that package.

The Carmelo and Deron ships have already sailed, and Chris Paul and Dwight Howard aren't coming here. The other top players are on their teams long term.

My main point is that I wouldn't hold my breath for a "signature move" that is actually bringing a superstar here.
