Too good for the Raps, imo. I'd prolly do it, but if Kanter and Bismack were there at 5, I'd take Kanter. You forget to say we are getting Bayless too.

On second thought, if PHI gives up Iggy without getting a pick, why wouldn;t we just keep the pick and deal directly with them? From there you can use #2 as leverage in another trade or just keep the pick.

My thinking was that Phili only does it if they can dump Nocioni too. We can't absorb that much.
The flynn-bayless swap i just threw on at the end, but could be left out.
We could also do a similar deal with Cleveland using their TPE and only going back to 4.

I actually like this trade. I hardly ever like trades. Good job, Krap!

Sure we can. Send them Webster, who might have some use there anyway. He's basically an expiring with only $600,000 guaranteed in 2012, and PHI might not hate getting Flynn.
MIN GETS: Iguodala and Nocioni
PHI GETS: Wes Johnson, Darko/Pek, Webster, Flynn + $3 mil TPEhttp://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3gdatgvI recognize the value of not having to take on Nocioni, but I think I'd prefer to move him later, without devalueing the #2.

I'd kind of like to keep Webster. The question I guess is, is the difference b/t having a useful Webster or a worthless Noicioni better than anything we could get in a different trade down situation that would allow us to get Biyombo?

Toronto giets the #2 for #5 and a TPE? What makes Bayless worth moving back?
#2/Johnson - Iggy
Pekovic- Biyombo
Flynn - Bayless
It's a steep price. I like the outcome but I think there would be a better way to do it.

Huh? We get Iggy too. Toronto helps us get Iggy by agreeing to absorb Nocioni's contract.

Oops poor wording. I meant Toronto gets an awfully good deal, moving up from #5 to #2 for switching from Bayless to Flynn.

They also agree to take on Nocioni's contract.

If Biyombo or Kanter are there at 5, I don't mind this.

FYI
As a Philly fan, Iggy for Darko who is not much of anything and Wes Johnson which isn't a really that good, for a proven player that is a 17, 6, 6 guy in most seasons. And is one of the best defenders in the league. WOn't happen unless the Sixers are getting a lottery pick too.

That's fine that you think that, but the majority of 76ers fans on the trade board disagreed with you two weeks ago. They stated that if the 76ers were to trade Iggy that they would be happy with a Wes/Pek deal. This deal also allows you to shed Nocioni on top of that.

I hear what you're saying, and I think you are 100% wrong.

Well, it's nice to hope Webster will do OK, but he's a bench player with our collection of guys, and I'd never devalue a top asset for a bench player.
Webster's real value to us is his contract, since his cheap buy-out comes at a time when we may be struggling to come up with the moolah to pay Love, Beasley and Randolph. Nocioni really throws a wrench in there, but he will be more movable after Taylor eats a year off his salary.
Even if we eventually downgrade the #2 in some other deal (where we get a pick with Biyombo plus something else .. not financial relief), if we can get Iggy without touching it now, I would much rather go in that direction.

Maybe I can write that cleaner. If we even trade the #2, I prefer:
Biyombo + ASSET + pay Nocioni
over
Biyombo + NO ASSET + don't pay Nocioni
There are some nice trade down offers out there.

Do tell.
I haven't seen much to get excited about yet.

IF we have to trade the pick, I'd rather trade #2 (D-Will) for #3 (Knater) + #12 vs this idea.
at #12 we have a shot at Burks or Brooks.
