This one would have to go out on draft night so NJ could convey their 2012 #1

MN OUT: Wes + Pekovic + Webster + #2
MN IN: Iguodala, #4, Morrow

Why? Solidifies the 2/3 position going forward. Still able to draft a center at #4.

CLE Out: Jamison + #4
CLE IN: #2 + Outlaw + Webster

Why? Outlaw replaces Hamilton from yesterday's rumored deal. Here Cleveland actually takes on less $ than Hamilton is guaranteed.

NJ OUT: Morrow + Outlaw + 2012 #1 (top 10 protected) (would have to be a draft night deal)
NJ IN: Jamison

Why? They clear cap space to make a big splash in the free agent market in 2012 or to make a move for Howard.

PH OUT: Iguodala
PH IN: Wes + Pekovic + 2012 NJ #1 (top 10 protected) + ($6M TPE created)

MN roster:

Ridnour/Flynn(Rubio)
Iguodala/Morrow/Ellington
Beasley/#20/Hayward
Love/Randolph/Tolliver
#4/Darko

It seems like fair value, although I'm sure if you put it on the trade board some fan would come and whine about it. But I can't see them moving Wes, so I don't think it's ultimately very realistic.

And why does it have to be done on draft night?

Cuz NJ traded their pick this year to Utah, I believe anyway.

I think everyone accepts except maybe Philly. Their fans on realgm probably would hate it, but their front office might think differently.

I especially love this from our (CLE) POV. Jamison is pretty much useless to us on the court and won't have a ton of trade value at the deadline. Plus, we get to preserve the TPE and, if Gilbert were willing, use it to acquire another (hopefully 2012) pick elsewhere. Way better than the Rip deal, IMO.

I think you have to get rid of NJ giving up a #1 but I think even without that it would work. Iguadola isn't worth Johnson, Pekovic and a 2012 1st

Noway NJ should keep that. They are dumping their worst contract and freeing up $11M in cap space after next season (well, and getting a huge expiring to use in a Dwight trade at the deadline). They need to provide some sort of incentive to make that happen.

Whether or not the pick would go to PHI could be a different story, but it's gotta be included going to some team.

edit: and actually, OP, I don't think this would need to happen on draft night. NJ still has a 1st this year, even though it's not their own. They should be able to trade a 2012 1st immediately, no?

NJ could trade whatever pick they want, they are not constrained by the two year rule. I don't know if they'd do this deal, and I'd wager they would much prefer to send the Rockets pick out instead of one of their own, but it's relatively fair. It all comes down to whether or not the Nets are searching for cap space for 2012. It seemed like it, but recent quotes have us doubting that they aren't going to spend every drop of space this summer, therefore preventing a summer 2012 signing of Dwight.

They have the Lakers' pick from the Joe Smith trade.

Picking up Morrow like this would be a steal.

You're robbing NJ blind with "proven talent" Jamison, but he's a name, and they seem to like that.

Not liking this trade at all. I’m in total agreement with Shrink’s recent post that we shouldn’t be overpaying for Iggy and that contract.

Breaking it down:
Iggy for Johnson - Fair in terms of talent for talent but with Iggy’s ludicrous contract (and with Johnson’s rookie contract) IMO this deal isn’t close.

#2, Webster, Pek for #4, Morrow – In a perceived two-player draft, obviously a no.
