scuttlebutt in the media seems to be twofold: MIN looking for some veteran leadership (doesn't need another young at 20) and MIN looking to "change the culture" by drafting DWilliams #2/dealing Beasley. Plug Jax in at SG and you get:

Rubio
Jax
Williams
Love

Stephen Jackson and leadership....never thought I would see those two things together in a sentence.

I'm don't think I would do that even if MIN was getting your pick instead of you getting ours.

Jackson is another SF, and a worse, older, more expensive one too. I wouldn't do that deal straight up, much less add in the 20.

Hmm .. that's what I thought too, independently on the Trade Board.

And I still wasn't sure I liked it.

Can 33-year old SJax even play SG any more?

At first I thought you were talking about the guns he would be bringing to Minny.

If there is any truth to the "change the culture" being a shot at Beasley (I bet it is not) then Sjax will not be the target.

:banghead:

With all the Iggy talk, I was expecting a thread about SJAX to creep up sooner or later...but no. Just no.

Jax & 19, 39 For Beasley?

or Jax & 9 for Beasley and 20?

Jax can still play SG, he played it last season while being overweight. he lost 20 Lbs and is in shape right now and could continue to play SG.. he is the veteran your team needs and would lead to a playoff birth. he also expires in 2 years so its not like hes on a bad contract.

Your coach says otherwise.

"Because of his build, because he's tall, because he's not as quick as most 2s, it's very difficult for him'' to play his best defense against shooting guards, Silas said Thursday.

thats because he was overweight last year.. in years past he was able to guard 2 guards, he hasn't had a major injury so his slowness was attributed to his weight gain.

Not to mention a vet without any real leadership qualities what so ever.
