A bad center, a bad SG, and a late pick in a bad draft?

Seems kind of pointless, I don't know.

I just don't get why ORL would want scraps from our scrapheap? I get it for us, we unload and I think the #20 for Redick would be alright, but doubt they would look at that trade and say "yeah, let's do that"

So why does Orlando do it?

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Because they have less use for Redick since the Arenas trade. They need a backup center since the Gortat trade.

Re: Simple MIN - ORL
Doesn't seem like either side has much motivation to do this. Wolves get a role playing shooting guard who makes 6+ million, Orlando gets a "bad" backup center.

Re: Simple MIN - ORL
The ORL posters I've run into recently want Beasley. Beware though, Krap - I suggested swapping Beas for Redick a couple weeks ago and was roundly shouted down on this board.
I personally think the Wolves could use a competent shooter to close out games, and I don't think Beasley is going to fulfill his potential. But I can see the other side of it too - anyway, on this topic I think that's one way you could get Orlando's attention.

I'd do it. Redick wouldn't make me want to hang myself like Ellington does sometimes.

I think Redick would be a great compliment to Rubio in the back court.

Going for the Kidd-JJB back court duo?

Re: Simple MIN - ORL
As a Magic, no.
Redick is one of maybe 3 or 4 guys on the Magic roster worth keeping. He plays hard, smart, and to his strengths. He's an elite shooter. I'd love to have a pick in the 1st round to inject some youth into our club but not at the cost of Redick. I'm not a big fan of Ellington or Pek honestly.

Re: Simple MIN - ORL
Redick? Seriously? Seriously this is the answer to our SG woes?
He's just a one dimensional bad contract that makes a living off of open shots from Dwight Howard double teams.
What is your beef with Beasley TTF that you are willing to trade him for the likes of Gerald Henderson and JJ Redick? Guy was a model citizen all year and played like a borderline all-star for 2 months until he sprained his ankle.

We would have to offer more, and don't have much more to offer. But I would hoot and holler with joy if Kahn pulled this off.
With a time machine we could get future Pek from 2 years from now. That might work for the Magic.

With his salary, I would rather just keep Ellington. They are both very good 3pt shooters, but is Redick really that much better than Ellington in any other way?

Maybe I've seen Redick underperform so long that I can't get excited.
Perhaps if Fran Vaquez rights were included ..?

He's better in the way that he plays next to Dwight Howard which makes the game much, much easier for him on both sides of the court.
