nice array of moves, sweet jumpshot, idolizes kobe bryant.

His game looks flawed. Shoots too many jumpers while fading away. He's going to be a low-efficiency scorer. That may very well be the best thing you get in this years draft with #20, though.

I don't see a better player we could draft at #20 right now. At least not a better SG.

He'll be long gone before the 20th pick anyway. Bucks seemed to be interested in him and they pick at 12(?) . Would be sweet if he fell that far but with all the buzz he's been getting, no chance.

I count at least 25 players whom posters and pundits have insisted will be "long gone" by the 20th pick. In this draft, it's impossible to predict who will be going when and where. It will be a very interesting--and surprising--night, to be sure.

Yeah, I suppose it's possible he could drop to us. Maybe I jumped the gun a little by saying he'll be "long gone", but I still think he goes in the mid to late teens.

indiana brought him for a workout and he's automatic lock at 12th pick if he's available by then.

yeah he does have flaw in his game though, but he's coming in as a rookie. his actual jumpshot is something our team needs.

kobe bryant didn't have a consistent jumpshot when he was young, but he was athletic as hell.

i just browsed through other teams' forum and they all want to pick marshon brooks. hell, even lit was even a talk on the radio station a bit ago talking about this kid and hoping lakers somehow acquires him.

talk about massive hype, damn. his stock sure have risen lately.

I have a feeling we are going to grab a euro with that #20, stash him away for a while... But im keen on Brooks, have been for a while, thought his draft range was 20-30... but looks to be a lottery lock now! KAHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!

I would rather grab Shumpert

If I was in Papa Glen's shoes I would order Kahn to bring me 3 mil with that pick so I could stash it in my bank account

Of course he would, he's the prototypical iso scorer. Those guys are always going to dominate in 1 on 1 workouts.

do you think he would be a help in our team, even as a bench scorer? i don't know if our FO/khan is even interested in him.

I saw some improvement from Wayne Ellington this year, would you guys still prefer Brooks-Burks over Ellington?

MNTimberwolves MN Timberwolves
While it's unfair to compare to Kobe - Brooks has a similar look wi/ his game. Fluid jumper & athleticism around the rim #twolves #nbadraft

Contrary to reports - Burks' jumper looks solid & he seems play at the right speed #Twolves #NBADraft

I think one of these could be picked late lotto (Milwaukee), and then the other one has a decent chance of sliding.

It's great they have nice jumpers ... can either one play defense?!

Indiana is also interested in the Jimmer. But Jazz pick at 12, maybe take Jimmer, then Indy could nab Brooks at 15. Klay Thompson also predicted in this range.

There's a lot of offense in the late lottery this year.

I hope I hear more things like this, it would be awesome if Brooks rose and Burks fell to a point where we could conceivably make a deal for him (either by trading up or working with components already on the roster).

Den Masters wrote:do you think he would be a help in our team, even as a bench scorer? i don't know if our FO/khan is even interested in him.

He could help, although I think there are guys that would help more. The SG position was basically a hole of suck last year, help is needed pretty desperately.

Brooks worked out for the Wolves today (against Burks), and was supposed to be at one of the group workouts early on in the process, but pulled out.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Trade the #2 & #20 and walk away with 2 loto picks. Draft Jimmer & Brooks. Both are very impressive in their workouts.
