Post#1 » by gswhoop » Fri Jun 17, 2011 6:46 pm

Hey just a quick question.

So when rubio plays for yuo guys this year will he be under his firs year of salary? If so, you guys have a bright future with young guys on rookie scales.

Not sure if he signed before the deadline or not. It is believed that he did, which means that he is under his 2009 contract. If he signed after, then I think it will be whatever the CBA comes up with.

I believe he'll be paid rookie scale of the 5th pick from this year, plus a 20% raise that most teams give lottery picks.

2011-12 $2.9001 x 120% = $3.48 mil
2012-13 $3.1176 x 120% = $3.74 mil
2013-14 $3.3351 x 120% = $4.00 mil

Why not post this in the Rubio thread?

I will answer this here, but please move all discussion regarding Rubio to the appropriate thread.

From Stop-n-Pop:

$3,480,120 / $3,741,120 / $4,002,120 (TO) / $5,070,686 (TO) / $6,723,730 (QuO)
