Golden State offers for Dwight Howard

"The Dwight Howard sweepstakes have begun. Golden State offered Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins and Ekpe Udoh. Unlikely that'll get it done."

This is jut for fun, but how would you guys feel if we trade our #2 pick and Kevin Love for Dwight Howard?

Why for us? Because we get a defensive minded center.

Why for orlando? Because they can possibly draft derrick williams and have another all star player Kevin Love in return.

Don't get me wrong, I love Kevin Love, but besides #2 pick, he's our greatest trade asset.

holy one year rental batman! I really have a hard imagining Dwight Howard on any other team. It just wouldn't look right.

Well, I guess I'll play along too. #2, Rubio, Pekovic, and Hayward for Dwight Howard.

No because I doubt there would be any chance we could retain Dwight.

pretty sure any Dwight deal would be done with an extension in place. No way GS even throws out that offer if its a 1 year rental.

I'd throw the 20 + Pek + Darko + Ridnour + Webster for a rental, not much more.

Klove will be a RFA. He can of course opt to forgoe his extension and play for his Qo and become a UFA.

How would people feel about trading for a superstar who even happens to be at a position of major need? Really?

Rubio, Webster, Randolph, Johnson/Beasley and Howard is all I would need (assuming we could extend Howard). I would offer Love, #2, and Johnson/Beasley.

If we couldn't extend Howard then I would take Love off the table and insert Randolph.

Rubio, Johnson/Beasley, Love, Howard would be a tremendous core and I think he would strongly consider reupping here.

Hell to get a legit all star and top # 10 player in the league in his prime I would call up the Magic and say whatever you want besides Rubio.Howard along with Kobe,Wade,James,Dirk,Melo,Rose,Williams,Paul and Durant are the only true super stars and A-Lister's in my book.So to land anyone of those guys I would offer whatever the want. Not as much for Kobe and Dirk just due to their age but whatever.

Assuming he'll resign, hell yes, he's worth selling the farm for. Pick a combination of Love or 2nd pick or Rubio plus necessary fillers and I'm fine with that. Heck, I wouldn't be fine with it. I'd be ecstatic. And I'm not even a fan of Howard.

Imagine a frontline of Beasley/Love, Howard, Randolph. That's some serious talent, athleticism and stuff. If Love and Howard somehow ended up on one team, you're going to score a lot of points in transition because three players could start initiating the break once the opposing team hoists up a shot. The ball will either go in or, if missed, end up in Love's or Howard's hands.

the reason i threw love in the mix for trade is that love's stock is so high right now after what he did to this season. any lesser offer, orlando would laugh.

in order to get a great player, we have to throw down a valuable picks and another all star in return.

orlando wouldn't even trade for a future pick, #2, #20, beasley and any other player besides love. any howard trade has to include love on our side.

It's just a shame we couldn't sign Dwight when he becomes a free agent, or acquire him without sending out Love. I think with a new coach+Dwight we become better than the Magic were last season.
